I have to say that I enjoyed this film. I read the synopsis before watching it and didn't really think it would be that great (but was going as it's free) but I was pleasantly surprised - I thought "Hit Girl" was fantastic and really made the film - I think without the antics of her and her father (Nick Cage) the film could've been rather dire.

Dunno why they needed security though, I think they just wanted to watch it themselves did you notice the guy who worked for Cineworld had saved himself a seat near the back and I saw one of the security people sit down as well!
They sit there watching the audience with nightvision goggles to make sure no one is bootlegging it.
They had no goggles or anything though, cause I could see them, they were just watching the film one of the guys even said he was just grabbing a seat so he could watch it.

They certainly used them regularly throughout the film at Kingston last night and they even used them several times before the film started.

Oh they are so very annoying! I wonder if anyone has ever been caught recording at a SFF screening, I certainly haven't seen anything.

Were they goggles? I thought they were infrared pens. Lol. They kept shining in red last Thurs.

At Middlesbrough Cineworld, we were asked to make sure our phones were switched off as we went in and the security bloke sat and watched the film from the front row, getting up four or five times to spy with his bright yellow night vision scope thingy.

I thought it was a strange film, as if it didn't know which way to play it - it was for laughs at some points but distastefully gory in others and the move from one to the other didn't really work for me. In terms of entertainment I give it an 8. But the swearing from the young girl, which was obviously just for cheap shock value laughs, was totally unnecessary.

I wasn't shocked by Hit-Girl...just amused. But that isn't what made it a good film, I thought it had a really good story and I also really enjoyed the use of music. 9.5/10 from me.

Saw this last night in Nottingham thanks to Beate.

We too had the phone police and as usual they spent most of the time watching the film than the audience.

FANTASTIC MOVIE - humourous, emotional, gripping, disgustingly gruesome in places, heartpoundingly suspenseful, brilliantly casted and graphicially stunning...

Hope you are feeling as good as new Andrews. ImageI missed it too as I have been in agony with a severe throat infection and swollen glands since Saturday. Look like a Bullfrog!!! Starting to feel a bit better now.
