I watched the UK version with celebs.chickflicks wrote:I watched the Masterchef US version. It is so bizarre. I got hooked on to the Australian version and they are all so nice and their love of food really, really shows. In the US version, they are all bickering, they are mean spirited and it's more about the drama they create than it is about cooking. I also finished watching Fargo! OMG! You guys should all watch this series. Amazing acting by Martin Freeman! I also watched How to Train your Dragon 2 - if you haven't watched it yet, go watch the trailers and the 1st 5 minutes of the movie. If they don't convert you, maybe these gifs will!

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Drive rescored by Zane lowe
The most noticeable thing about rescoring the movie is that the music quality drops significantly, and you get to see how good a quality movie it is in its own right without its original 80s score because you p*y more attention to it without the original awesome OST.
The downside is that you are saddled with Zane's 90s tranceydancey crap for an hour and a half, which sometimes works, but unfortunately is so repetitive and "obvious" that it threatens to damage this fine product of a movie. Lowes music isn't bad, its just a full league down from the original movie's score. Its music you'd expect to have in the movie if you soundtracked it in your head whilst watching it, if you get me - without any original feel to it. It literally feels as if a 15 year old had butchered the movie for display on his youtube channel. Its not bad, but compared to the original movie, its extremely diluted.
Lesson - Genius works should be left alone. They certainly shouldn't be messed about by DJs.

Saw Interstellar on Sunday.......laughable in parts . the remainder being generously slathered in Hollywood sentimentality, psuedo-science and tacky cliche.

Loved the Black Mirror Christmas Special! Charlie Brooker is beyond clever
Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Agreed. Always meant to watch the previous ones but always missed them. Glad that this seemed to be a stand alone drama rather than a sequel. Would have made a good cinema movie.
