I got some £10 day tickets for the Paralympics, which unlike the main Games, gets you access all day to four different events around the Olympic Park. A bargain. I also got a free ticket to the dress rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony. That's my lot. Could get some affordable tickets for the main games; the prices were crazy.

I have a free ticket to the dress rehearsal too! I'm hoping we exactly get to see some of the performances and not just some tech people setting things up

With only 11 days to go until London 2012 we are getting super excited about the Olympics coming to the UK here at Cineworld Towers! We'll be showing BBC's coverage of the games at 27 Cineworlds across the UK starting with the Opening Ceremony on Friday 27th July! Tickets will be available to book online/in cinema/by phone from Thursday and are completely FREE. If you fancy seeing all the action up on the big screen then stay tuned for more info! Go Team GB!

This reminds me of my father telling me stories of how he would go to the cinema during the 60s to watch boxing matches and the atmosphere would be often electric depending on the fights, he was a big of Mohammed Ali fan too. Sporting events were big events in the cinemas in those days so this Olympics cinema scheme feels like a retro throwback...and for free, pretty awesome contribution to the Olympics vibe to combat the horrible cynicism that the media and some of the British public lashes on it.

The tourists are here. Popped down to the local Tesco outside St. Paul's tube and a glut of tourists blocked me from reaching the cashier. Inconvenient maybe but also kinda nice to see so many excited fans :)

I know what you mean; rather hoping that they would be not leave that late in the day so testing the tech stuff; otherwise I will not be staying long and be testing the largest McDonalds in Europe set up down the way.

I got tickets for the Technical Rehearsals too, as a Games Maker and London Ambassador. Unfortunately, I am sitting opposite the part of the stadium to where my OH is performing, so won't even get a glimpse of him!

My ticket is a Games Maker one too, passed onto me by a friend who is volunteering but doesn't arrive in the country until a few days after the rehearsal.
