I know it is computer generated announcing who has a birthday but this is a waste of time people posting Happy Birthday Greetings as greenhill (and indeed others in the past) have long gone and will never read it!!
If it is not a username I recognise I click on the members button and see who they are and if they are still around.
Greenhill hardly contributed and has not logged on for months!!

Well I don't post for everyone so I hope it makes my birthday congrats sound more sincere!

I am sincere with my birthday wishes (I must check to see if people are still active though as I do tend to remember names even if they are from posts ages ago) but even though some people don't post much I hope that by wishing them Happy Birthday that they know that I hope that they have a nice day. I can't help myself

Sorry I didn't mean to critise you or anyone else who posts birthday wishes and if someone is still active even with a few posts then of course wish them happy birthday.
It is just some like greenhill have not been active for months so don't feel it is worth posting a birthday wish for them as they are highly unlikely to see it. I prefer to be selective and post only for the "well known".
