Had a relaxing facial this morning at a salon in the town -another Groupon voucher!!! :p - what would I do without them. Went shopping and then walked back.

Breakfast was plate of fruit and fibre with the last of my strawberries (7 this time Diane ;) ). Had a coffee and a sandwich for lunch in the town. Fish for tea tonight with two small potatoes and broccolli. Two biscuits with cheese for afters since it is the weekend and a glass of white wine.

Have a good weekend everyone. o/

I imagine you're looking stunning now - I love the feeling after a facial (not had one for ages). I love the counting a woman after my own heart ;)

I've done my brisk walk and then I had a Time Out and a fudge at my mother's hence didn't eat lunch which is bad but its 250 calories on chocolate hence not hungry
Hot chicken salad on a baguette (500 calories) Strawberries with a weight watchers strawberry mousse (75 calories)
I'm trying to keep between 1200 and 1500 calories, to maintain and not quite as much exercise. I still want to maintain flexibility and keep on toning (work still to be done on the thighs :noo: )with my DVD plus cardiovascular with my walking.

rawr_xoxo I hope that you manage to find something inexpensive and healthy to eat :cross:

Plus all your health tips are brilliant. On a personal note do you know of any Ripcord full body workouts which are fairly short ie 20-30 minutes as now its back to studying time I won't have as much free time (I always study something from September until May (I only mean 3 - 4 hours a week to keep up to date work wise) then have the summer off plus DD is back at college hence the housework is mine yet again :noo: ). I am probably hard on myself as I know that a lot of people on this thread have health issues and stress in their lives to contend with but still carry on whereas I was just disorganised hence not a valid excuse.
Thanks Diane...oops is it really 5 days ago since I last came on here, bloody hell.

I have a feeling that I forgot to say well done on getting the Ripcords, so um a belated well done! I recall you talked them into a discount too o/ o/ OK, I think I posted some stretchband workout links from Sparkpeople already but I'll compile some here again. They are all nice short work outs. And you dont have to work on the whole body, work on different parts each day if you wish. Now they all look quite short but dont forget you need to add on 10mins or so of cardio before any strength exercise. Nicole always says that at the beginning of her videos. But she doesnt demonstrate them.

I am going to add to that intro by re-iterating before you start ANY strength or resistance workouts, you MUST warm up with at least a 5-10min cardio or dynamic stretch routine. Very important so that your muscles are nicely warmed up before the main workouts and you can enjoy your workouts injury free. If you jump into a resistance workout with cold muscles, you will risk yoursefl injury. Warms ups can be anything from fast walks, jogging, dancing or ideally a dynamic stretch routine. Purpose is to flex yourself and get your heart pumping a bit more, and loosening your muscles. Now Nicole in those sparkpeople videos always say at the beginning to warm up but doesnt give a demonstration but here are a couple of short warm up videos to choose from. Diane, you can do the warm up routine from the beginning of your favourite DVD workout vid, which I suspect would be a dynamic stretch routine. Or why not just play a funky song (please not Justin Bieber) for 5 mins and start dancing!

Ideally however, the most effective warm ups, are active dynamic stretching warm ups which I will give one example video here:

Now for the stuff you asking for in the first place ;) You can can combine mix these exercise, you know. Plan it out for time you want to spend. Or you can combine bothe lower and upper body routines for your complete body workout, or combine an upper with abs...etc.

Upper Body workout (mostly in lying positions on a mat)

Upper Body Workout (Standing position workout routine)

Lower Body workout (short and for all fitness levels)

Lower Body Workout (a bit more advanced and longer)

Inner and Outer Thighs workout

Working out sitting on your chair at the office!

And to complete the fun, put your resistance bands away, grab a mat and ejoy a 15 minute abs workout :)

Well done everyone for spreading the positive vibes, sharing your journey, your successes (well done Biggins on the further bodyfat loss!). Clarebarr, as Diane said, that was a lovely post and totally relevant because this thread is all about being healthy, in mind and body. Writing the best things said to you or about you on a notebook is wow, such a great idea! I'm sure is very large book by now ;)

rawrxoxo, blimey, you in London, yep, really sorry, its crazy expensive here and it is a battle to b*y the healthy stuff :( But enjoy your break!

Sorry to moan guys but I'm feeling crappy & feel like a good moan!! Got home from work at 4.30pm, & have had a crap evening with pain, feeling SO tired & groggy but can't sleep (cos of pains). Need to go to doctor as my medication seems to be the cause of some nasty side effects. Wish there was medication for me with no side effects >:(

So sorry to hear this especially as you were in such a good place the other day :( I do hope that they find some medication that suits you and manage to get the pain under control with adequate pain relief for you. :bighug:

MrG a big thank you for taking the time to source all the workouts for me I can't wait to give them a go tomorrow, I've just watched them now as its a bit late to start now - the last time I did one after 10pm I nearly overslept for work 8O On another note I thought that Justin Bieber was your favourite singer ;)
