Re: Introduce Yourself...
Hi Guys.
Um, I'm new to this discussion lark, so bear with me. My name's Mike and I'm now an honorary Southerner living somewhere just North of Brighton. Previously in Scotland, Yorkshire and the Midlands. Not done Ireland or Wales yet though.
.
Its pretty good this free films thing isn't it. So far I've only seen The Paperboy. That was an unexpectedly good film. You know you've got a hit when you can make the whole audience draw its breath in at the same time. I won't spoil it by saying what happened but, well, it was a kind of shocking film in many ways. Actually I would recommend it (though perhaps not to watch with your 80 year old Mum or 5 year old kids.....).
Anyway, any good action, cop or comedy films are good for me. Generally something with a twist or that makes you think a bit, or is unusual. Generally not the run of the mill American churn-em-out stuff. Generally I prefer British..... No documentaries thank you. Except for music films....
The main problem for me is that most of the screening times are about 6.30 or so. Which clashes with my commute back from London so I don't get to see as many films as I would like. Still, beggers can't be choosers, as they say, so I'll keep my eyes open go to what I can. Thanks for the site and the heads up about all this free stuff. Its good that I can see stuff I probably wouldn't have thought about seeing otherwise. And thanks to my Brother-in-law who introduced me to this site
.
Enough for now......Have a good Saturday evening all.
