Its your body telling you to take it easy and MrG don't be jogging if you're not feeling good - practice what you preachhavingascreen wrote:Felt so tired just walking round the shopsGoing to make some homemade tomato soup with lots of garlic and fresh basil, that'll kick start my immune system hopefully

Take it easy Glassy, I'd recommend burning some eucalyptus oil in a burner to kill off any germs in the air, it'll do your airwaves wonders too.
Hows everyone else feeling?

So sorry that a lot of you are under the weather - I will have to make some lovely food for you all.
The exercises took 45 minutes in all and the stretching at the end of each workout was specific to what I had just worked not my whole body. I did drop onto my knees for the side plank as was too tough to maintain it and keep form - I am listening to what you are saying, completing the sets and being good. I must say that I was very aware of my buttocks when I was bending down assisting some of my patients this afternoon which is good as it proves I was working the right bits. Tomorrow I won't be able to do much as I'm working 8 until 6 and then on a course from 7.15 until 9.15pm plus I need to eat in between but I will do my best to do something maybe even a one mile walk.

Be careful you don't wear yourself out

The tomato soup was delicious and has made me feel better. Its so easy to make, just chuck it all in a blender with some chicken stock then heat up! I didn't even add the cream Glassy, it was nicer without it

I'm sad to hear you've got this damn lurgie too Glassy,

Re: Weight Watchers
Hi everyone.
Oh my word, what's happened to you all?........You're all dropping like flies!
You must take good care of yourselves and no more exercises until you return to full health. Comfort eating - that's what you need to do - Actually that's what I've been doing
and I'm not even ill
I'm going to p*y for it big time tomorrow when it's my official weighday. At tonight's sneak preview weigh-in (Yes I know I shouldn't - but I like to keep track
) I'd only gone and increased my weight by FIVE
pounds over six days hadn't I!!!
I wouldn't have thought a weight increase of that scale in such a short time was even possible no matter what you did (barring being on hols). I've noticed that I seem to be heavier later in the day than in the mornings (when I get weighed) so I'm hopeful that it may actually be a pound or two less in the morning.
One thing is for sure, I've got to refocus on what it is that I'm supposed to be doing instead of just giving in and eating and drinking so many "bad" things so frequently these days.
Tell me off, Diane - I need some of your special nagging

Oh yes, and can you explain exactly what you mean when you say "I was very aware of my buttocks when I was bending down assisting some of my patients this afternoon"
Did somebody say something?

Re: Weight Watchers
Thank you to the second part - I actually like studying and we've got a really good speaker coming tomorrow evening he's an endocrinologist. Its like a night out for me as I enjoy it and it gets my brain working.havingascreen wrote: Oh Diane you do make me laugh, i wonder if your patients were as aware of your buttocks as you were![]()

Right Mr Preston lets get the ball rolling tomorrow is a new day and as you are feeling good I would like to see your menu and exercise programme posting by lunchtime tomorrow at the latest. Decide which day you are going to have as a treat day this week and I would like you to save your treat day for the following Saturday as you have a hot date with 3 lovely ladies

Re: Weight Watchers
Hi everyone - I hope at least some of you are feeling a bit better today.
I got weighed this morning and I've put on four pounds since last week. It's not unexpected and I will try and redouble my efforts to be sensible foodwise for the rest of the week.
Today's Menu:
1) Stonebaked bagel with assorted salad leaves, smoked salmon and tomato. Black coffee.
2) 300 gms of 1.45 fat onion and chive cottage cheese. (210 cals)
3) Fresh salmon steak enrobed in béarnaise and tarragon sauce, new potatoes, green beans.
4) Pot of Earl Grey tea, one slice of toast and honey.
Exercise:
A couple of hours on the bike à la William Knowmaytes.
My thanks to the lovely Diane for getting me back on track with the timely tongue lashing!
