What a shame for your friend, and nice of your friend to let you have it.

OH is one of the Industrial Revolution people, so they will all look the same with blackened faces wearing the same clothes! He will be very lucky indeed if he is spotted by anyone, as there are so many performers!

I booked tickets for our local Vue to watch the opening ceremony. I'll be trying to spot prettyxcool husband on the big screen! I think I'll have a better chance then those who'll be there in person unless they pa*d 2012 pounds per ticket!

I wanted to watch the fireworks of the opening ceremony but I have a 6.30am start the next day at the Olympic Park for my shift - need to get up by 4.30am, and need to be at Stratford by 5.30am! Blah! :tears:

The O2 has apparently been renamed to North Greenwich Arena for the duration of the Games as they aren't an official sponsor. Someone somewhere is clearing having a laugh. How utterly ridiculous.

I was a bit disappointed that they didn't give us two tickets; I didn't think there was that many of us. I think the other half understood

Ken Livingstone on the radio today was talking about a cafe in the area called The 'Olympic Cafe' which is now going to be called 'Lympic Cafe'. How utterly ridiculous

They were looking for volunteer performers last year, it was on their website, London2012. I told OH to apply and he went to several auditions before being chosen. They were actually crying out for more men performers.

yes, amazing 15,000 performers, 10 hours a day rehearsing with half an hour's break, every weekend for the last 2 months, then increased to 4 days for the last two weeks! So he is a bit shattered!

And he did get Danny Boyle's autograph on his Olympic travelcard! :P
