On the other hand, Thor is a slightly diminshed product if you watch it after AA.

Re: Avengers Assemble
saw this tonight at Odeon with some of my stash of free tickets. Really enjoyed it (in 2D). Decent background story as much as there could be and decent build ups for all the main charachters.
Too much of a battle scene at the end - reminded me of Transformers 3, and very very glad I saw it in 2D and not 3D as I suspect it would have made me kind of dizzy/sick?!
Anyway an enjoyable load of nonsence, perfect for a Monday night having had to work today when everyone else seemed to have been off for the bank holiday.
BTW thought Mark Ruffalo was excellent as the Hulk!

Re: Avengers Assemble
Now, Raj, while I consider you one of the most sensible people on this forum, THAT I cannot agree with! Still the visually most interesting one out of all of them (though the script does not crackle as well, I will admit)raj101 wrote:On the other hand, Thor is a slightly diminshed product if you watch it after AA.
Re: Avengers Assemble
The script / story was boring/too slow for me. (2/10 for story) I hadn't seen any trailers or in-depth reviews & thought being Marvel it might be an all in-animation film. I loved Iron Man's suit.beardy2 wrote:Now, Raj, while I consider you one of the most sensible people on this forum, THAT I cannot agree with! 10/10 for 3D animation/action/effects they were super duper.
Some funny moments especially
when Hulk (Bruce Banner) grabbed Loki and swung him around and splat on the ground.
Luckily I saw this for free with a Complimentary ticket. (poster said no freebies) Cineworld (Shaftesbury) kept us waiting until the start time to be let in (+ they were still clearing up so not a lot of turn around time!)

Re: Avengers Assemble
oh i mean storywise, Beardo, its better to see the film that sets up Avengers first, rather than watching the prequel once the story is resolved and Loki gets beat.beardy2 wrote:Now, Raj, while I consider you one of the most sensible people on this forum, THAT I cannot agree with! Re: Avengers Assemble
Finally managed to see this tonight and like Alythonian used some of my stash of free film tickets, but had to p*y for the third ticket, so still a freebie for me:D
Loved it, all action, nonsense and special effects,
8.5/10 for me I think, as expected a wee bit more perhaps.
looking forward to using other free tickets form MIB3.
Need to keep getting all these coke codes!!!
