what's your recipe Jojojoanne? I usually make mine with onion, garlic, mushrooms and a tin of chopped tomatoes. I've guessed at 500 cals, do you think that's about right?

My boyfriend came round tonight, he made us lamb casserole, with potatoes, carrots & broccoli, followed by apple & blackberry crumble with custard. I have NO idea how many calories all that was, but it tasted amazing!! :)

I'm a very basic cook!! I just put chicken fillets, halved potatoes, fat sliced carrots, big slices of white onion and big slices of swede in the pot, add two sachets of colman's chicken casserole mix!! Slow cook for about 6 hours. Only two of my kids like casserole, so I normally make a big pot and freeze whatever's not eaten. I don't do calories!! I (try!) to eat sensibly and if (when!) I 'go off the rails', I try and be extra good the next day ... (this is probs the reason I'm overweight!!!)

Sounds lovely and wholesome, its nice to see how different people cook and to try something that I wouldn't normally make. I'm forever using chillies in things but I will try your recipe.
