GO TOM! YOU RULE!!!
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

it seems that is all about money in the end with Lord Sugar "gently" pushing Tom is the right direction by "suggesting" him to go back to the file business

No surprise with tonight's result.

I didn't think any of the them had particularly good business plans but Jim and Helen's were shit.

If Helen had presented a half decent business idea then she would have won easily but her poor idea left it wide open for Tom to win with his creativity and ingenuity.

I was rooting for Helen but I guess I was more thinking of her as an apprentice in the former sense, getting a job with Lord Sugar. I really really like Tom and I am very pleased that he has won. He has so many good ideas, Sugar will make tons of money with him.

I think the right person won. Helen looked desperate at the end when she hastily pitched a backup business plan.

And I thought it was a bit rude and disrespectful when the others smirked while Lord Sugar grilled Susan about her projected profits.

Yeah it was but maybe they thought Susan would most likely have a solid business plan because she has experience of running a business.

They've used the score from Inception several times in this series and they're always using that Ghostbusters theme. I hope they're p*ying for that.

That post earlier about the odds for tonight makes me think the result leaked. The real surprise was how shit all their business plans were. Tom won because Sugar clearly wants to revisit his nail file product and milk it. Really, the whole process is rendered pointless by this structure. If someone with 3 wins out of 11 weeks can win the series because he is an inventor who had successfully sold a product of his to a major global retailer, why not just forget the show and go into business with him to begin with? Also, why not pick the 16 with the best business plans to begin with? A boring series comes to an end with a pointless outcome that underminds the entire process.

102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

What I didnt' understand was: "You have 48 hours to get your business plan done". You are seriously telling me they hadn't got one written up before that?

Amazing that he won after record breaking number of losses. Loved the gift he got though, his chair. Favourite bits were the jedi-jim highlights, but overall not the best series.

I was thinking the same, if it is based on the business plan....
