biggins wrote:KTfab as you see we all have an inner "bad" side of us so we all find it hard to resist the "goodies". I am not supposed to eat sugary things but yesterday I was in the town and the bakers shop had three guys out in the street handing out small cupcakes advertising for Hallowe'en - so guess who had one!!
You are normal - so don't let your Mum or anyone get at you and take control of your own life and food intake. You'll have weeks when everything goes well but other weeks when you just can't resist the cakes, crisps etc. If it were so easy to lose even a pound a week then we would all be slim within a few months, but life isn't like that so we have to do the best we can to improve our health. If you have kids then get them to eat more healthy too and tell them why and I am sure they will help support you. My granddaughters know I have diabetes and when they are eating a cake they say to their mother "and remember gran can't have one" - so there is no way I can eat a cake in front of them.
Preston just think how much more weight you would have put on if you had not being cycling!! You'll get back to your usual eating habits I am sure and impress us all with your weight lose this coming week. I said I was recycling the three pounds I need to lose to reach a stone - but you are certaining recycling yours!!!!!!
I lost pounds yesterday - the £££'s not weight wise - these £££ are easy to get rid of in a matter of minutes!! went into town and b*ght myself a new winter coat and a top I fancied and it fitted better than it would have done a few months ago.

These are the incentives we need - bring on the new winter wardrobe!!!

Your words were inspiring, biggins.
Yesterday, I had to take in a pair of trousers. I'd like to think it was because I was 'smaller', but to be honest, I think the trousers were a bigger size than normal to begin with!!!

Thanks for those kind words Jojo and Biggins.
You see KTfab, Biggins is right, it's rarely all plain sailing. Every journey has it's own setbacks to overcome. Here's one of my recent ones:
Stick at it though and, with determination and effort (and a pair of latex gloves

), we'll all get to where we want to be in the end.

hi Everyone, I'm back once again. I've not been to the gym for a couple of weeks when I hurt my foot but, I'm venturing there tonight. And great news, my mate found my Fitbit Tracker when they moved some boxes away

. I'm a bit peeved as I brought my laptop in to see if it would synch to the tracker if it were nearby. Sadly as id didn't synch, I b*ght one off Ebay for £61.00
Still when it arrives I'll shove it back on Ebay and carry on with the old one. So its back to Myfitnesspal and recording what I'm eating

Last time I was trying to lose weight and it didn't just drop off I had ppl pointing out that I haven't lost a lot of weight and have I given up. I say ppl but was mostly my mum :/ . Last time I felt pressures into it but this time I want to do it for me and my kids sono can be more active and not so tired all the time. I think somewhere like this is better a I can freely tell you guys if I've had a bad day or good day and it's ok cos ur not sat here to judge me.
Thanks x
So sorry for not replying to your post for some reason I couldn't scroll up at work. We will never judge you and will always be there to support you. My mother is the same and has this knack of putting me down but luckily I can laugh at it; not so long ago she treated my sister to some Clinique products and got me the same value in cleaning products as my sister likes to look nice (my mothers words)

she said I was ungrateful when I asked her why I got cleaning products. Don't you just love them. I'm not just saying this but the people on here are just lovely.

Diane ... I had to laugh when I read your Mum got you cleaning products, as opposed to the stuff she got your Sister!! I tend to get aprons and tea towels from my mum (but always wrapped around a bag of minstrels, so I can't complain!!!)

Sun is shining here at the moment - off biking for the day in an hour. What's not to like!

Enjoy the bike ride, Preston and I hope you know that you were missed-- no posts from you for a few days and we are all in a panic on FMUK.
Diane, this is disappointing. I would have thought with all the cake encouragement you got down here in London you might have changed your ways. But here you go again with a no cake day.
