No, actually come to think of it, I was disappointingly average despite initial good intentions.

23 miles on the bike yesterday o/ but with several food lapses on the way :tears: - Three and a third massively thick and yummy shortcake and raisin biscuits (see avatar pic) that one of the lads had brought along to share. Also a truly massive full english breakfast (for lunch) at the half way mark cafe probably wasn't the best choice either :nono:

Later on I had several slabs of bread with a microwaved convenience food vegetable korma curry, and then finished off the day with TWO 8O duck and hoisin sauce wraps...... and then even later on...got up at around 1 a.m. ....and had an iced doughnut for good measure. :nono:

So all in all ....Not Brilliant on the old diet front!!

edited to say: Yeah, I forgot to mention that I had 2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk for breakfast and two bananas during the day as well as all of the above.

I'm agreeing with Andrews that it's nigh on impossible to eat sensibly when it's cold and wet. I'm going to redouble my efforts on the "filling up with water before eating" idea today.

Don't worry about those three pounds, Andrews - I'm sure that they will disappear again by next week. :cross:

Good luck with the weigh-in Biggins :cross: o/

Had to go into to town first thing this morning for an appointment but not good news when I jumped on the scales this morning - a pound back on again!! :wall: I only have myself to blame for the food I have eaten this week with a lunch out with friends, a night away with hubby and a killer breakfast and sandwiches yesterday with working all day. :(

Still there is always this week coming as a fresh start. Had porridge this morning and having soup for lunch and a banana. Trying to have porridge in the mornings now as it is rather wintery weather and keeps you going until lunchtime. Not sure lwhat to have this evening - sometimes you feel you have run out of ideas.

Catching up with washing and ironing this afternoon.

As you say today's a new start and porridge does keep you full. As Preston and Andrews have already said you do tend to need more food to keep warm in the colder months.

Its so easy to run out of ideas hence we need to get posting menus so that we can pinch ideas of each other. I'm going to look like a pumpkin if I have any more ;)

Sorry Sally - didn't spot your post there when I was making mine before!

Diane is right ( :shifty: isn't she always! ;) ) that is a good start!! Every single pound lost is one less to go and should be celebrated. :D

Most people on here aren't actually using the official "Weight Watchers" system as such, most of us are just "watching our weight" so to speak. So I can't really equate to your 26 points thing!

The success I've had (if you could call it that) is just down to trying to eat less food overall (avoiding as much high calorie stuff as possible) and exercising more. Oh yes, and filling up with loads of water before each meal. There's no calories in it, and it makes you feel full so you tend to eat less. That's the theory of it anyway, in practice it can sometimes be hard to stick with. ;)

Please continue to join in with the discussions and share your triumphs and disappointments too. We all have lapses from time to time and try to help each other along the way.

Thanks for your support, put on a pound this week, but i have drank quite a few glasses of wine, alcohol is a nightmare on this diet! today is a new day so i will start a fresh and make a better effort this week! :)

Right everyone it looks like we have all had lapses this week but its a new day and a new beginning. I have no idea what came over me last night but I was struck down by an attack of gluttony  8O I'm not weary, I wasn't cold and I'm not hormonal but instead of having my salad with my weight watchers quiche I had a bag of chips from the chip shop and then if that wasn't enough as I felt guilty for stuffing my face that I decided to go for a walk to get some exercise but then ended up b*ying myself a Mars bar which I promptly devoured  I had had cake and a pumpkin muffin the day before. I have basically got too much time on my hands this weekend and no plans so I need to get off my butt and get doing something. I actually stayed in bed this morning until nearly 9 reading my book, this is really late for me.

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with a banana and strawberries (300 calories)
No idea what else as having no plans equals no structure.

I will post back later today. Be good everyone. o/ Please post some menus then I can copy them.

Well, I had a lapse yesterday as well. Good intentions, as always, but some of my colleagues wanted to randomly go out for lunch and then a friend of mine randomly wanted to go out for dinner after work.

I'm not beating myself up about it - I've been really good all week and one day off the wagon won't hurt. Plus, even though I went out twice, I only had a main each time and wasn't tempted by the dessert menu. o/

Today:

Special K and semi skimmed milk - 200 cals
Soup and oatcakes - 200 cals
Scampi, mini waffles and mushy peas - 385 cals

Only 785 of planned calories, leaves plenty of room for treats and/or more soup, if the cold weather gets any worse. WW lemon slices are only 80 calories and a choc chip and raisin cereal bar is only 100 calories. Might go out to the shop to b*y some more, it's so cold I'll have to 'walk briskly' to get there alive and that must count as exercise. ;)

Haha, you're one of us!!!

I had a salad last night to make it up for the pizza... And it was a good idea.
But even though I eat quite 'healthy' and less than before (most of the time), I feel the greed coming back, I want crisps and chocolate!! I actually have Kinder bars at home and that's the only treat I allow myself - well, to be honest I had a few ice-creams (cones) this week, most of them were from Weight Watchers.

Today:
- bowl of cereals and earl grey
- one Breaded fish fillet with garden peas and, I think, a blue cheese sauce + I don't know what dessert
- Kinder bar
- mixed salad

Well I am glad I am not alone with my weak moments this week - it is hard when you have been good most of the time to find one(or two) bad days makes the whole week a bad one weight wise!!

Breakfast today - porridge and cup of tea. Lunch- homemade veg soup and a banana. Tonight salmon fillet with two small potatoes, mixed veg. Two crackers and cheese and glass of white wine.

Very cold but dry here so going out for a brisk walk into the town taking a few books to give to a charity shop. Will have a walk round Princes Street shops and back again.

Planning on starting to write my Xmas cards when I come back. o/

Well I fear I may have to stop reading Weight Watchers for not only do you folks do your best to eat properly but you also are so organised that you have already or are starting to write your Xmas cards!
And I'm looking at you Diane and Andrews and now biggins is doing the same. This is making me feel totally worthless and guilty as I know I won't start writing my cards until the week before Xmas no matter how hard I try. Is there any compensation as I have to write notes/letters in at least 40 of my cards as I refuse to send a copied letter?

Anyway, my congratulations to all you organised FMUKers. No doubt Diane has already also painted the neighbours' kitchen before she started on the second batch of pumpkin soup probably before I even got out of bed this morning. You all are amazing!
