I like Jennifer Garner, but this film doesn't look very good haha.

Re: The Odd Life of Timothy Green
I really enjoyed the film. I thought it dealt with a real sensitive of issue of adoption and then representing it in a fairytale like way... The actual plot line involving Timothy was quite far-fetching in the sense of him arriving with couple, but post-that seemed to look at the challenges a new child goes through settling in a new school and into a new family, when he is adopted. I found it quite heart-warming, and at the end I have to admit to shedding a little tear.

Re: The Odd Life of Timothy Green
Saw this at Southampton Odeon with the family and was shocked that there were only 36 people and 6 were in my party.I guess as Easter is approaching they didnt want too many at the screening. As for the family we all loved ut ;great little story and well acted. As othef people have said more for older kids rather than young ones.

Re: The Odd Life of Timothy Green
Thanks to PXC for saving us seats when we discovered that we were later than usual due to mistaking the start time! Lots of annoying kids (and parents) in the audience that needed the loo every 2 minutes and were chatty. One father came in 20 minutes late with 2 kids and instead of taking seats downstairs he went all the way up, stood around for ages, then found 2 seats and placed one of the kids on his lap. If I had been the person behind him I'd have told him where to go!
What was the point of this film exactly? Did they need to become better parents first before they could adopt? So a child grew out of a tree for them? What sugary nonsense. Didn't invest in any of the characters, and this comfy American small-town existence where everyone knows everyone is just not for me.
Don't get me wrong, it was perfectly watchable, it just didn't have any purpose whatsoever.
A pencil out of leaves - WTF?

Watched this today at Didsbury, which was almost full. Gosh what a mean town they lived in, their family, the people at the Pencil Factory, the coach, the adoption agency were not very nice. Thank goodness for Reggie the botanist, Joni his friend and the Aunt and Uncle. I have to admit I had a lump in my throat a couple of times. 7/10 from me.

Re: The Odd Life of Timothy Green
Did not realise that there was a West India Quay screening, thanks Beate for alerting me this morning, as the location and timing is much better for me, so quickly got on to Sky and miraculously, there were tickets available. So grabbed one and cancelled my other one at the 02, and made my way to West India Quay instead of the 02.
Arrived at 9.55am and the Sky rep had already let people in. I settled into our fave seats, and got a text from Beate to say she was on her way, she did not realise it was a 10.30am start! But she lives quite close, so she got there in no time. It was lovely to see tsoiboy too. Unfortunately, we had a quite a noisy family sitting next to us, the children rustling their food non-stop, and I had to shush them several times, then the father looked at his mobile, and then at one stage was talking to one of the children. Very annoying. We had a family of latecomers who took ages to decide where to sit and in the end sat the children on their laps as they wanted to sit together but not at the front where there were still plenty of seats. So distracting.
Sweet, funny, quirky Disney fantasy. Extremely thoughtful for a Disney film. Really enjoyed it, really loved all the different characters, all very well acted. Gently magical, and I shed a tear or two at the end. 9/10
