Glad you enjoyed the film guys - so jealous.

Only one Edinburgh screening and missed out on tickets.

John Travolta my favourite actor - no accounting for taste some folks say- but each to their own.

Will be there the first orange wednesday so will let you know my thoughts then but sure to be 8+ anyway :D

Loved it! :D
Great tension, some terrific action sequences. There were 7 of us - we all thought it was great!
Nice to see Spanner and Betty Boop again. Was that anjirose sitting in front of you Spanner?

Saw this last night at Cineworld, Glasgow - must've been about 90% full.

Great action, great acting (if perhaps a little OTT from Travolta).

I went to Boldon last night too, got there about 6:15 after fighting with Tunnel Traffic. Thought the cinema was full but managed to get some fab seats for me and my friends right at the back. Not sure whether I was more concious of the swearing because I took my mam along with me but the "F" word seemed to be quite consistent thoughout the film.... especially in the first 5 minutes.... (not saying I dont use the word myself but it did seem rather excessive sometimes). Thought the film overall was really good, special effects were fab... Thought Travolta was packing a few pounds round his neck though and not sure I like him being a bad guy..... love his cheeky smile/grin.

Overall I would give this 7.5/10 ... and would recommend Boldon cinema got some air conditioning going.... Maybe will meet up with the rest of the North East Cinema rabble soon! :P

The cinema was very full! It was a small screen though but nice to see it fill up for once! Jobsworth didn’t ID check this time but OH who had been first in and kept us all seats said that he told him to exchange his printout for real tickets at the till. Naturally they scoffed at him there. Honestly, it’s not like he hasn’t done previews before!

I thought the film was brilliant, edge of the seat stuff with excellent performances by Washington and Travolta. Halfway through I found myself sitting upright with my hand in front of my mouth in a total state of suspense! I kept thinking they would discover the young guy’s laptop and shoot him for it! Some of the action was a bit ridiculous though – instead of taking a helicopter, the police race through the streets of New York, promptly getting into accidents! But I also thought that the film was actually funnier than Imagine That, I certainly laughed more!

8.5/10 from us, we thoroughly enjoyed it! And so glad he didn’t forget to bring the milk home, LOL!

I saw it yesterday in Cineworld, Enfileld. I was quite surprised because the cinema wasn't that full - I would say around 80-85%. It didn't start 'till 6:45. I went with my boyfriend and we both loved it. We thought that J. Travolta and D. Washington were both brilliant. I have to admit that I haven't seen the original so I can't compare it but definitely enjoyed this version. I liked the fact that there were also some scenes that made as laugh.

8/10 from us :)

Went to cineworld in glasgow to see this last night (thanks again to F10na!)

Some reviews had been a bit lukewarm about this, and JT is not my favourite actor (sorry marjoreemarjora!) he just seems ott in virtually every role, but as a big fan of denzil and having enjoyed plenty of his and tony scotts movies, i was really looking forward to this. Not even the old testament downpour on the way there could dampen the OH and my spirits. Sadly, the same would not be true of our socks!

The cinema was near enough full at 6.30 filling up more after that (a 6.45 walk - in , not quite beating the ten to 7'er at public enemies, a world record surely!)

The movie itself was top notch, from the opening titles building up to the hostage 'heist', to the real time countdown to JT's demands, culminating in a tense getaway finale.

The only complaints from me would be the severe underuse of both john turturro and the incredible luis guzman, but maybe they were surplus to requirements and overcast for roles that didnt require their qualities. On the flip, it was great to see frank wood, aka greg from flight of the conchords as the police comissioner! JT overacted as per, but was pretty good in the part, my lactose intolerance only kicked in with John Turturros' salute to denzil at the end, a real T2 thumbs up cringe moment, why tony scott let this onto the cut is beyond me!

a great night out and a real cinema movie - a big 8/10 from me!

Went with two of my friends who were new to free previews and very impressed :D . Cineworld glasgow seemed even more busy than Coco before chanel, there can't have been many spare seats. Enjoyed the film although I think the actual filming was quite manipulative, with a lot of 'doom doom doom' and tense music the camera swooping in. It was pretty tense but I would have liked there to have been more surprises, it was all pretty much laid out predictably from the start with the only guesses being as to which hostages will be killed and whether Walter will survive. That said, it mostly kept me entertained with only a few kind of boring bits where they seem to be saying lots of clichés. 6.5/10

I went to Boldon last night and saw this with my hubby...also saw Andrews and Spanner there (very nice to see you both again)

I really enjoyed the film, agree the lanuage was a bit excessive and to the point that some of the remarks which were meant to be expressing anger were actually quite funny (bum hole etc)

Thought that the ending would have been better had it lasted say half a minute longer but thats probably just the romantic in me! lol

7/10
