Hope the fun security guard will be there again with his 'camera-detection-gun' :-)

I've only been there once, and that was 6 years ago for a free preview of 'Intermission'.
I sat too close to the screen and the camerawork induced a severe migrane - I must try to get there early to make sure I don't end up in the front row again.

I've never seen Surrey Quays fully packed out. Used it twice, once for "Taken" and another time for "The Hangover." Wasn't full either times although both times they checked my bags for camera but the security were polite!

i'm surprised that many on here didn't get the film. It is beautifully acted, very funny at times and has a stonking 80's soundtrack. Dismissing it as an indie flick is just lazy.

Have also seen 500 Days Of Summer, which appears to being hyped out of all proportions, and this is superior to it in every single way.

I enjoyed it so much, i'm off to see it again, and can't wait! I'll be at Surrey Quays too, sounds like it might be busy for a change ;)

I'm still unsure as to how it gets so many people loving it, I saw a proper screening, not online, the other week and was almost sleeping through the majority of it, and I usually like these kinds of slow comic drama films. Personally it's a lazy attempt.

just back from Silverlinks (thanks to my bro for giving me a life home in the lashing rain, even though i never recognised him til bettyboop practically pushed me in his car, heh heh) The cinema wasn't very full tonight, maybe 65% ish, perhaps cos it is a bit if a bugger to get here, (took me nearly 2.5 hours - I could've been almost to London in that time!) which is a bit of a shame spesh seeing as this is our one and only screening here.

right onto the film, firstly I want to know who gave the film-makers my ipod? how come all my top toons were on this eh? whaddya mean i haven't moved on from 1987.....mmmmm...... spanner's in dream mode....... velvet underground, foo-fighters, jamc, the cure and a husker du t-shirt, top banana!

film was ok, a few pointless bits, but all in all better than a slap round the chops with a wet fish. characters were ok-ish, loved bobby though we should've had more of him and maybe a few more laughs might've been good and i would've like more development of the evil step-mum (who wasn't really very evil at all was she, but boy did she look weird!)

sadsack2, who braved the ardous trek with me, gave 6/10 which i'll roll with, given that after last weeks dire 'funny people', I'm easily pleased of late.

also back from Silverlink now....what a trek. Thought the film was a 7/10 laughed quite a few times (hope i didnt annoy you spanner! sometimes it just pops out! lol)

i actually found some parts funny that werent meant to be i think! My OH thought that it was canny too but after Funny People maybe ours standards have been lowered...also we really wanted to watch a chuckle along movie!

My OH did mention that he thought he may be suffering from altitude sickness being as the rows seemed very steep!
