Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I managed to get codes in on time on a few occasions but there weren't even any Scottish screenings on the list.
My observation would be that the Scottish ones were in especially short supply - even considering the THREE screenings in Glasgow...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Sorry If I came across a bit negative.....I saw the last two Batman films in the Imax and have to say they along with LOTR films they were the best films of the last decade. By all accounts this one is in that category so currently feeling a bit envious of the peeps with tickets so again I apologise. I'll probably wait to the dust settles avoid all spoilers and go to a quiet showing at the Glasgow Science Centre with the OH. I need to see it in a proper IMAX. Enjoy the film guys.

I have also made it quite clear that it is not on to get tickets you don't need just to instigate a swap. Swap posts have been mostly deleted for that very reason. If someone has spare tickets they are respectfully asked to offer them up or cancel them so others can make use - not keep them back in the vain hope of a swap for the location they desire. It's not going to happen - demand is high, supply is low.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
With respect people move around work different places etc and often travel further to see a decent film. What I'm saying is circumstances change. I have also received tickets for Glasgow from someone in the forum who lives in Portsmouth. A lot of people bag tickets rightly or wrongly to help out other forum members. If a long distance swap is not on on this forum this is fine I abide by the rules. If you question the ethics of some swaps then perhaps you need to look at the ethics of the whole site. Playing devils advocate for a sec you yourself have bagged over 500 pairs of tickets since 2008 ..is this fair...It's certainly not fair for example the person who buys Glamour magazine gets home and there are no tickets left.. I too have managed to get tickets for a good few too probably about 30 40 per year. I have also posted codes whenever I can. I think to focus on the ethics of a distance swap is wrong. TDKR is the first time I tried a distance swap as I genuinely thought about traveling to Bolton and normally If I can't travel I will give them away on swap central As I did for Bolton after my distance swap post disappeared.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I have no idea how many tickets I have booked since when. But I used them, cancelled them or passed them on. That's different to bagging them just because you think you can swap them for the tickets you really want.
This is an orange paragraph above the Offered board, I would hope people read it:
Please please please do not book many tickets to offer. The non-use of preview tickets is not something we want to contribute to. Only get tickets to offer is there is a very high probability that they will be claimed. This includes tickets requested on the Wanted forum by established members, and popular areas such as London. It is a great shame when tickets go to waste so, much as successful ticket donations are appreciated, if you're not sure whether to get tickets to offer, please don't. Also please return any unwanted tickets by clicking on the link in the ticket confirmation email.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
It's understandable matey, I was lucky getting my sky tickets but I was trying to see if I could help out other folk as I know a lot of folk are excited about this one. Keep trying codes for returns!!! I've been dissapointed myself at not getting tickets and then finding out the cinema was only half full.rickybomba wrote:Sorry If I came across a bit negative.....I saw the last two Batman films in the Imax and have to say they along with LOTR films they were the best films of the last decade. Hello,
My 18th July TDKR SFF ticket says 19:15 (Odeon Wimbledon) does that mean there is NO red carpet footage like @ other venues?
Thanks

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Thats the starting time for the film, they'll start seating well before that and for those that are seated, the red carpet footage will be on.

Does everybody's ticket say 19:15. (or 18:15 for 19:15)
(I thought it might be only the big Sky screenings for Redcarpet Footage)
