The Babel preview looks interesting but the terms seems bit odd:

"You will not receive a confirmation email for the tickets and can collect your tickets from the Box Office before the performance starts at 8.30pm."

I'm a bit wary just turning up with no confirmation. What do they do if they get more emails than they can accomodate?

Does anyone know where this was posted originally in case they ask where I saw it?

There's a comp for Vocal Orchestra tickets on https://www.facebook.com/thevocalorchestra
and to be honest, I've seen them give away tickets on Hungerford Bridge even, which is quite naughty considering people who might have b*ght tickets might be walking pass.
I am happy with all the free tickets, but this has got to put a dent in their box office sales.

I would have thought that the reason there are all the free tickets is because the box office sales have been poor and they just want bums on seats to make for a better atmosphere, with competitions I guess they are trying to drum up interest so that those who don't win will b*y tickets.

I rebooked my tickets for tomorrow on a different code which still had availability so now we are back to seeing VO at 14.30. :P
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Wish we had this opportunity in Glasgow . . . . I've been to a few shows recently which could have done with more bums on seats! A full audience definitely does create a better atmosphere!
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

MG are you a VIP with SFF i am considering it but i would like a better idea of what to expect from it, as i haven't seen any Glasgow vip code's ever and wonder if it is worth it, and i am also thinking maybe if more Glasgow folk went vip we might see some ??? maybe lol

I think if you ask everyone here and they are honest, have they reduced their spending on theatre/films with these codes, I think most people will say yes.
And as for giving free tickets for word of mouth, I think that's overrated. People at your office might just ask why you keep getting free tickets and they will want the same too...

I've wondered the same! I suppose I'd want to know we'd get at least 2 a year to make it worthwhile p*ying for the VIP membership! Maybe we should ask Luke?????

or I think they should lower the VIP charge for non-londoners to be fair.

I think i am going to give it a go, well i guess nothing bad can come of it and if it turns out not to be worthwhile then i just wont renew it, as the saying goes only one way to find out, i spend a small fortune on Theatre every year anyway so even one free code would be money back kinda thing, i will keep you posted on how it goes :cross:

I don't mind the cost as MG says if two codes per year were to materialize i would be happy, as it stands just now when i got to the Theatre it is an average ofsay £25 - £30 per ticket and i usually take a friend which means £50-£60 per outing <<< oooh i wish i wouldn't say it out loud lol
