Preferred cinemas:
Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

Last year was my first and I saw Paul Simon, while he was near the bottom of my want list from the applications I made it was great! Looking forward to see who they'll announce this year.

I don't think I've seen a stand up this funny in a longggggg time tonight at Udderbelly for Cabaret Whore. Check her out -

http://sarah-louise-young.com/

I am not going to even try and repeat her jokes, sometimes it was coarse, more often than not it was very intelligent and well observed. I loved the Dolly Partonesque and Edith Piaf lookalike characters, she even made us do a singalong in French, throw in a Sarkozy joke.
She also joked about the wrong date printed on her flyers (hence the mix up with SFF maybe?)

And she really got quite a voice. She's definitely one to watch 10/10
Rare to see anyone get a standing ovation at Udderbelly, but she got a few...

Spent a lovely afternoon with my daughter at Matilda the Musical, it was very entertaining, some parts were very similar to the book, others quite different indeed, the cast most being children were superb, Cleo Demetriou played Matilda today and her performance was outstanding. The set design was also excellent and very clever and although as a whole we did really enjoy the performance we weren't actually that struck on the songs, they were all performed brilliantly but all seemed very similar and had the same thumping undertone, the only one to stick in my mind was 'Naughty'.

Please What is the term used (maybe slang) for when theatres try to fill up unsold seats??

Racking my brains and the internet but can't find the answer! (discussing it with a friend when out for dinner, it was on a quiz)

Thanks.....

ok. Vocal Orchestra were great again. Comedy not so good, a mixed bag but generally mediocre.

Will never understand the people who laugh at every mediocre joke. oh yeah. Cant handle their DRINK, thats it. Whats the point in living like that? You get shortchanged and played for a fool at every turn..
