Basically I'm terrified of the dentist and will only go if I get sedation. they won't do that anymore but recommended me to a surgery that does gas and air. So I've been doing that. I've had about 12 appointments so far - she takes it really slow with me which is great, about 4 appointments to do the root canal as it was a strong tooth 8O. anyway I've got hopefully 2 more appointments to go.

Strange thing is, I've not pa*d anything or been asked to p*y 8O
Oh no, sounds dreadful.

Don't worry they'll catch up with the money. Very rarely do such people forget.

Having read the last few "dentist" posts, I am quite glad I seem to have strong healthy teeth and gums!

Lucky for me I have never needed to have anything more than a check-up done - I don't have any fillings or anything and I go to the dentist every six months without fail. This probably bodes well for all my teeth failing out at once!

I am so annoyed and grossed out.

The guy I share a desk with keeps wiping his boogers on the underside of the desk on the days I am not here. I have to remember to wipe the underside with a tissue every day I am in, otherwise I get his boogers all over my trousers

This has been going on for about 9 months now.

What can I do? It not exactly an easy issue to bring up.
Preferred cinemas:
Weekdays: Central London (all West End), West India Quay, Greenwich O2, Vue Islington
Weekends: Greenwich (O2, Odeon, PH), Vue Stratford City, Stratford PH

Do you have the same Line Manager? If not, maybe speak to yours and ask her/him to speak to the other one?

I'd be so embarrassed to bring it up with her too. The problem is we are both seconded to here from another organisation.

That is difficult, but maybe then you could ask someone from your home organisation? After all, managers are there to deal with that type of issue.

That is just too gross for me to comprehend!

I suppose it is like bringing up the subject of BO or bad breath to someone............ never an easy one.

There is an article in today's Times titleds "How we learnt to love the Germans". Unfortunately I can't link to it as the bloody paper wants me to p*y £1 first but it's a good read!

Use double sided tape to stick coarse sandpaper to the underside of the desk and add a warning message above it along the lines of "Warning!! sticking bogies to the underside of this desk is hazardous to your health"
