I was up in Wood Green today and there was a man with a load of Evening Standards, standing under an Evening Standard umbrella and with Evening Standard boards up all around him. When I asked for one (yes, I said please) he told me that would be 50p. I told him they were free and he told me 50p or get lost. Has anybody else seen such a thing?

yep they have been doing that in croydon for 1 year now, except they charge £0.20pence. I just wait for my oh to bring a free one back for me.

No, I have not seen that. Did anyone b*y? He should be reported, it says Free at top of the paper!

apparently they can charge as most of the shops are doing that in croydon. :confused:
