i didn't care who won to be honest but wasn't surprised he won due to the complexity and time limit as well as creativity. though his food is the food i'd least like to eat.

too true, was scouring the recipies for ideas and his were packed full of ingredients and methods, would have taken me all day. We opted for this menu:-

Starter Mustard and mushroom veloute
Main Chillie on a bed of brown rice
Dessert Cheescake with a selection of berries

We have a judging panel too :P

Had a wonderful masterchef type meal at Telford College in Edinburgh last week.

Starter - pan fried breast of duck on chilli greens. duck was really well seasoned but chilli not strong enough
Main - baked cod with chilli veg and noodle basket filled with prawns. I got a shock when i see them and a shrimp looking up at me as this wasn't on the menu and don't like prawns. Swapped with a mate for a goat cheese and sundried tomatoe stuffed mushroom.......gorg
Dessert - The lightest, lemoniest cheesecake i've ever tasted with a crunchy biscuit base.

Would well reccommend fine dining at your local college restaurant. Service is great too and you can't beat £10 for a three course lunch plus wine plus coffee including tip
