Yep I can confirm Bradley Cooper's in town....

And I can confirm, he certainly was there. Watched this with funthing29 and so glad to see her so excited which is why I took her along - made the plus one ticket well worth given away. The film itself was pretty good. Reminded me abit of Inception with some of the images (not the storyline - far from it) although the ending is open to interpretation. Took me a while to get into though, wasn't as good as I expected but I did enjoy it. Funthing29 seemed to like it too but I'll leave it to her to give her side of the story.

The screening was packed out proper and certainly more than 60 tickets were given away. It was in screen 8 at Vue, right at the top so not the biggest screen at all. Most people were well behaved. There was a security guard watching the film with us and he even looked through what looked like a video camera at the entire audience! Shame funthing29 forgot to get her camera along - we both took pictures but they are quite shoddy and crappy.

I shall start off with a huge giant massive thank you to a_very_very_very_kind_person for inviting me to see this tonight – sooooo grateful!

Twas lovely to meet you and I look forward to seeing you at future screenings. I’m super pleased I went because I got to see Bradley Cooper (*sighs*dreamily*). I could stare at that cheeky grin and beautiful blue eyes all day long…

He gave a short intro before the film started saying we are one of the first audiences to see this and there has been lots of attention since it went “viral” with the tube posters. Forgot my camera (doh!) and tried to take some photos with my phone but they are very poor quality. I shall post them here once I figure out how to get them off my phone…

I really enjoyed this! I knew the basic plot but hadn’t watched any trailers (which is unusual for me prior to a film) and thought this sounded like a good concept. The idea was well executed and the film was very entertaining. I was kept on the edge of my seat in the final act not knowing how it was going to end.

I thought the soundtrack and cinematography were well suited toward the tone of the film. I particularly liked the jerkiness of the camera angles and the shifting perspectives – this effectively made me feel I was experiencing the ‘trip’ alongside the character.

I’ve been a fan of Bradley Cooper for a long time, since his Alias days, and have been waiting for Hollywood to notice him! He has managed to get by with supporting roles for a while but really deserved a big break and finally he got one. I thought he did very well and demonstrates his talent for playing a leading man. The main character is a bit one dimensional: essentially a selfish schmuk with no thought for how his actions impact those around him. It would have been easy for the audience to be indifferent to his plight but Cooper is charming (and super sexy!) and I can’t help but root for him. Cornish, whilst pretty eye candy, seemed a bit redundant and didn’t do much. De Niro was a treat and did well with the dialogue in his scenes with Cooper.

A really engaging film that kept my attention throughout with a decent script, strong acting and clever camera work. I will admit that this probably will not be everyone’s cup of tea but I strongly recommend it to someone who wants to see a film a bit out of the box. 8/10.

Nothing much “gala” about the screening, except the names on the guestlist were checked TWICE, which is certainly rare. The crummy screen 8 was full. Nice to get a brief introduction from Bradley Cooper, he said we were the first bunch of people to see the film this side of the pond, and asked how many people in the room were on NZT right now…I wish!

I quite liked the film, though I feel the demand for mind-bending chemical paraphernalia will go up after people have seen this. I am told (not that I would know of course) that some of the drugged out sequences were very authentic (everything speeding up, brighter colours, focusing on little details as you do when on acid, etc.)

Cooper was pretty good as our “hero” Eddie, he’s almost in every scene and we hear the story from his point of view from start to finish. De Niro is great as expected (loved his final confrontation with Cooper), and Andrew Howard as one of the baddies with a foreign accent was pretty scary. Oh and Anna Friel was quite a sight, in the one scene she gets. Yikes. Anyway, 8/10 and I might be going to see this again.

sounds like you lucky lot had fun, the only time i ever got a chance to go to a premiere, was when i won tickets on the radio. unfortunatly it was the same night as my dads 60th, so i ended up giving them away.

Limitless Cancellation – Nottingham

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Screening of Limitless on Sunday the 13th March at Nottingham Showcase Cinema has had to be cancelled.
The screening has been re-scheduled for Monday 21st March 6.30pm for 7pm start. Your original ticket will be valid on that date.

Just seen this at a packed screening in Wimbledon!

After reading reviews and seeing the trailer, I knew it was going to an interesting film . Bradley cooper was great as the main character and really enjoyed Abbie Cornish. I also liked the camerawork which gave it an edge. Sort of reminded me of inception.

Made me want to take one if those pills ( only joking)

8/10. Extra points for the gorgeous Bradley cooper

Saw this at a half full Westerhailes this morning. Loved this film - even better as the main character was played by Bradley Cooper. What you could do if you had one of these white pills!!

An interesting film that had the quietest screening I have been to in a while. No one coughed, chatted or went to the toilet!! Had everyone enthralled.

9 out of 10 for the film and an extra one for Bradly Cooper - 10/10.

Would recommend this to friends.
