Should have gone to see this last Tuesday but could't make it at the last minute.Seems like I didn't miss much.

Same here by the looks of things, had my screening moved to the next day which I couldn't make. Perhaps this only appealed to die-hard U2 fans?

some iof the jokes werent orchestrated well, or were poorly written. It felt like Adam Sandler had written half the jokes. Bono, the Edge and u2 were used sparingly in the movie but felt genuine. However McCormick's came over as a half jokey, very fictional role. He says impossibly stupid things at times, in the worst possible place, which no one would ever do in reality, which is sometimes funny, othertimes irritating. Other such fiction evolves as the story unwinds, culminating in his Lennonsque assassination attempt.

Nevertheless theres enough b to klack comedy jokes to keep it going, and theres an interesting story for anyone interested in the evolution of u2 from a bystanders viewpoint. Its obvious why McCormick is so jealous of them, but hes also depicted as a complete idiot about it - this film could easily be called 'How Not To Become A Rock Star'.

Pity we didnt get to see some live u2 concert coverage. They have written a lot of good songs (or rather, Brian Eno has written them a lot of good songs!). That would have made the movie. and i was of course disappointed that Bono didnt turn up in person lol.

I didn't even get a response from my first email saying I could not go to the changed date.
