Re: Jubilee
Ha ha, you won't see me at all as we are on the dispersal route not the main route and I can't see them continue filming there. Sorry for the disappointment.
Re: Jubilee
Out locally for my token walk, I noticed an amazing variation from street to street in whether there was any acknowledgement of the jubilee or not. In some roads every house was smothered in flags, bunting, etc; in others just the odd one and elsewhere (as in my own road) no outward sign whatsoever. I couldn't think of any explanation other than that perhaps people socialise more in some places than others.

Re: Jubilee
There's a barbeque going on under the tent at the rowing club now and someone positioned on their balcony with a huge camera. The students opposite are strangely absent from their roof terrace though.

Re: Jubilee
same here and not just street to street but town to town. Hammersmith seems to be very nice and jolly, but down the road Shepherds Bush is totally desolate. Even worse, they started doing up Shepherds Bush Green, so that is a big pile of nothing, right in the middle of the Bush, so no Julbilee party there. Westfield looks lovely though.Ms Thrifty wrote:Out locally for my token walk, I noticed an amazing variation from street to street in whether there was any acknowledgement of the jubilee or not. My friends are having a street party where they live, but its a suburbian road, whereas where I am, I don't know anyone in my street, and I've been here for about 25 years! There are a few houses and flats with bunting up and that is all sadly.

Re: Jubilee
I don't know where to look anymore! TV broadcast, on the river or down on the boats being carried away on the road?!
Re: Jubilee
Looks like you have the best seat in the capital!
I only need to keep glue to this forum to know all. :)
