I thought this was pretty good. Loved the music quite retro... and loved the irreverent style.

Thought it would be scarier than it was - liked the humour of it and overall it's a thumbs up - wouldn't be rushing to tell everyone to go to see it though 6/10

Re: You're Next
I hate gore and slasher films. I wasn't keen on going to see this but went with my 17 year old daughter who was really keen to see it. Yes there was (in my opinion) unecessary bloody gore, but in fairness you could tell when that was going to happen and I just looked at the floor till it was over. It started off a bit slow and with a few very violent acts it didn't have much going for it..... HOWEVER........... when I realised how dreadful the acting was and how stilted the delivery of the lines was at moments of supposed "terror", I actually couldn't decide if I was watching a horror film, a spoof film or a comedy. That actually made it a lot more enjoyable! There were "jumpy" bits and a lot of laughing out loud from the audience at the deadpan delivery of some of the lines. My teenager loved it. I'm still not sure what kind of movie it was, but strangely enough I think I kind of enjoyed it! I think! Maybe!
I wouldn't recommend it particularly, but teenager said she definately would as its one of the funniest movies she's seen for a long time! 8/10 from the teen and 6/10 from me.
