What a sad film - I have to say it got me with the tears, it was all very depressing. I was also a bit confused with the jumping back and forth in time - I started thinking she had 5 kids but I was quickly corrected.

Cameron Diaz in the role definitely grew on me - at first I just didn't believe her and thought it was poor casting but by the end of the film she had won me over. Great acting by all the children involved and it is the first time I have seen the actress who played Kate in something other than Medium, so good to see she is widening her roles. Overall I'd give it 7.5/10 - and have to also agree, for once I think the film ending makes more sense.

I'm watching Private Practice now and they have a 'designer donor baby' storyline - what an evening for me!

The film was about to start, we were the only people in the last row and looking forward to it - when in came about 10 young people, loud, laughing, chatting, settling in the last row, playing with their phones, putting their feet up on the seats in front, wouldn't shut up, found everything hilarious etc. etc. I asked them to be quiet several times, I even fetched the manager twice, who spoke to them - why didn't they throw them out? They clearly had no respect for authority nor any regard for the people around them. It is this new breed of people who think society somehow owes them respect without doing anything to earn it, and it makes me furious.

I have on purpose not said "the youth of today", AYBG, because everyone is different. But there is a new breed of people out there, and it is frightening, whatever age they are.

Btw, the first thing I saw when I came home was the news that Farah Fawcett has died of cancer - coming from a film about cancer that felt extra weird.

I actually feel your pain, I felt that when I went to watch Transformers on Tues at West India Quays. That is really annoying. I was at an edge seat at WIQ and while I was leaning back, I turn to my left and there is someone's shoe in my face. He was lucky I didn't turn his foot around. And those who talk non stop are so arghhhh!

People who put their foot up are so annoying too. Like they own the place or something. I totally agree about your comment on the people thinking you should respect them or something. I'm suprised they didn't reply back to you or be rude back.

The manager should have thrown that out. You should have complained afterwards since you asked him twice to speak to them. It's clear you're not supposed to talk out loud during screening so why do people do it? If they can't behave then clearly they need to be directed to the closest nursery. What sort of a free screening is that if you don't get to enjoy it?

I look to put my feet up or stretch them out, which is why I sit either on the front row or behind the railings for wheelchair users. I would never stick my foot practically in someone elses face.

yup same here I either get the seat with railings in front or if not I only prop my knees up against the seat in front if there's no-one sat there (another benefit of sitting near the front) I have circulation problems so I do keep moving my legs a fair bit

That's very thoughtful of you steve9872 and elski especially considering the front seats aren't that comfortable and thinking of others.

Sorry I should have been clearer - I'm talking about the people who are sitting behind other people but think it's okay to put their feet up on that person's chair or kick it and if you're around the edge, stick it in your face. Of course we all want to sit in a way to what is comfortable to us but that doesn't mean be so rude! (Which I know you two aren't!)
