Saw this on friday and I found it to be pretty poor and was quite tempted to leave the cinema because it was that bad for me lol.

Maybe Gervais fans will look upon the film more favourably but the plot seemed weak and any good jokes were few in number.

My advice would be to avoid or at most watch it on an orange wednesday.

hating the reviews for this film.

I think i'll skip the cinema for this one.

Saw his stand up show in Finchley last night and it was brilliant. Very dark but very funny

Ricky Gervais bugs me. He ruined parts of Stardust and A Night at the Museum for me, I just don't find him funny.

I'll be giving this one a wide berth, even a freen screening wouldn't have tempted me.

Plus, it really annoys me that the poster is way too similar to Yes Man.

Apart from the legs of course. And I know, don't judge a book by it's cover or a film by it's poster but I've read the bad reviews too...

Saw it yesterday, I caught Toy Story before it to be in a happier place when viewing it, and as a massive Gervais fan this was as huge a letdown as you'd never want from him. Never funny, only one really well done scene, in the hospital with Gervais in tears, lots of cameos that had no relevance, sight gags that were bad by any standard and rom-com plot that was painfully predictable. One has to hope Cemetery Junction will make up for this.

wow...interesting, I thought it's been getting really good reviews and I really wanted to see it, but I can see that it's bombed in the box office

Think I'll be downloading this one then.
