i didn't like it.

maybe i'm shallow but i tend to judge films purely on weather they enterained me or held my interest, i'm not really one for noticing great lines/acting/scenery. anyway this film didn't hold my interest at all.

i know she was over the legal age of consent but the scenes of him chatting her up when she was in her school uniform and the ready acceptance of him by her parents made me feel rather uncomfortable. i also couldn't see the point of the film. i liked the bit when she questioned the the importance of even getting an education when all those around her with one seemed to lead such dull lives but then at the end she went and did exactly the same. with no real explanation as to why it was a good decision for her to make. I guess i must be a dour and sour old cow cos i didn't even think it was that funny. a sad, slow and disappointing 2.5/10 from me.

Am I the only one who is incredibly narked off by the Times booking system and their insistence that you bring the paper even though the cinema ushers mostly don't care?

As i suspected the times have now updated to say you need a timesplus card so dunno whether it should stay in free films or not? theres a chance they might release another code for non timesplus members but I doubt it as its on the booking page so looks like its the end of times screenings for non subscribers!

I wonder if it's the new name for their "Culture Plus" scheme, or whatever it used to be called? Still some kind of p*ying club, presumably.

Yes, and not only that, but then last time I wanted to see one ("Coco Before Chanel"), SFF did them, anyway! So I was still able to go, but with much less hassle.
