I got that email too, so its saved me a job as I was going to ring the cinema and confirm.elski wrote:not sure if they've sent the email to me or everyone (it has the black background like a ticket confirmation)
Please note that the preview of Despicable Me at Cineworld Sheffield is at 3pm as stated on ticket (not 1pm as in email)

Re: Despicable Me
The screening was full, many children (did someone say there was a ticket giveaway at meadowhall yesterday?) but they had plenty of staff on hand taking tickets and handing out 3D glasses and booster seats and asking people to not leave spare single seats etc. And then to get the film started they had the kids do a count down from 10.
I loved this, smiled (& laughed a fair bit) all the way through. I only recognized Steve Carrell's and Russell Brand's voices in it though. They had some quick jokes that would go over young heads like under the heading for 'Bank of Evil' it said 'formerly Lehman Brothers' and telling the orphanage woman that she had the face of a donkey in Spanish. They also payed with the 3D a bit a with things coming out the screen and loved the rollercoaster ride and just wished they didn't keep cutting to their faces as you could almost enjoy it as a proper ride. It seemed quite long but at the same time didn't drag and it held all the kids attentions and a lot of them were wanting to stay to see the credits with the minions poking tape measures and ladders out to the audience. Would happily see it again, not as tear inducing as Toy Story was but I did well up a little bit at the end.
