Well done raineylb o/ You are far luckier than I have been and my family think I do well. In the past I've won a weekend away twice but not a holiday abroad. Going to try this year to spend a bit more time doing comps to see if I can win a big holiday or something one of the family would like.

I've never looked on the MSE competition thread - might start now!!

The are no children at my home so I was happy to play that part by bringing out my favourite boys toys...ahem I see Syd's head popping and twisting like a meerkat so I better explain what they are very quickly..A remote control Back to the Future Delorean car...way cool SHame I cant quite get it to drive at 88mph, not enough room in my house for the acceleration ;) and a interactive limited edition R2 D2 droid unit (only 1500 in the world) which is as close to the real thing as you can get, he responds to voice commands, has a personality of his own, patrol the house and seriously, he is more real than that fake one they have in the movies which has a little man inside.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and boxing day...any of you queue up in those mad sale rushes in the morning, you know the ones where all signs of human social ettiquette are thrown out the window as everyone breaks through the shop doors in a mad delirious frenzy running around aimlessly, crashing into shelves of aeu de toilets? Only to find that the sales were the same prices they had before xmas? DO they really get good bargains, I wonder?

Do you have a VR headset? If so, maybe we can play a physical sports game or even be sports/fitness partners, hit me up if you keen.

i attempted the river island frenxy yesterday, i lasted a maximum of 6mins 17 seconds!
found a top i liked, £27.99 reduced to £3.50!
instantly thought WOW
went to find the queue, and ended up following it outside and round the corner to debenhams with guards making sure no one ran off with their 'loads'
as a guard was directing me i looked at him and said, is it really worth it?
and he said tbh probably not, so i turned round pu tthe top back and left
xD
think ill stick to the online sales lmao

Wow that is mad. I'm trying to brave the sales and luckily it's not as packed as I thought.

I went to M&S before Christmas, there was no one around and everything was heavily reduced already. Going to the sales on Boxing Day is utter madness. I need a few things but I think I will wait until January - somehow I don't think that the shops can afford to annoy customers by suddenly making everything really expensive.

I keep thinking I should have a look at the sales but you can't try things out online and I quail at the prospect of braving the weather and the scrum to go in person. I had intended to bite the bullet tomorrow but now I am finding reasons not to go...
