My friend and I are going to the Susan Boyle musical tonight. When my friend b*ght the tickets she was told that Susan Boyle will not be making an appearance.
SSF sent out an email with some free tickets for tonight which is quite annoying when you have pa*d to see it but on the other hand we have had freebies at the Festival theatre with SSF when others have pa*d.
My daughter managed to get two free tickets for tonight but unfortunately Marjoreemarjora and stuartboy didn't.

Elaine C Smith is supposed to be very good in it - we will wait and see. Will let you know tomorrow if it is worth p*ying to see. :cross:

Just been to see Cabaret at The Lowry with akh43. What can I say apart from absolutely brilliant from start to the end. Will Young was amazing and Michelle Ryan has got one wonderful voice, it will be coming to the West End shortly so if you liked the film you will love this.

A massive thanks to akh43 for inviting me as your guest o/

First time at Islington Assembly Halls last night, nice old building, good acoustics, but they need to sort out a proper bar (I will NEVER p*y £4 for a CAN of lager!).

Anyway, was curious to see The Zombies, they may be a bunch of old geezers but they didn't disappoint, playing a lot of stuff from the '60s that still sounds great like Just Out Of Reach, She's Not There, This Will Be Our Year and Time Of The Season. Good to cross them off my list! For people who don't know them, their now "legendary" album Odessey & Oracle is worth a listen...

Saw 'Our Boys' last night. Some strong content, but all completely in context. Touching but also extremely funny in places. Highly recommended.

Saw 'Soap Opera' tonight in Croydon. A good night out with my Sister and Brother in Law, but the play itself was dire!!! Two women walked out after 20 minutes. There was plenty of snoring around. My Brother in Law fell asleep during both Acts!! There were plenty of empty seats. It was like a poor amateur production. At 'curtain closing', Leslie Grantham wasn't smiling and literally couldn't wait to walk off stage. He actually looked ashamed, like he knew the production was rubbish. The curtain started to raise for another bow, but stopped. Not sure if this was because the audience had already started to walk out or because Leslie Grantham was no longer in the line up!!
