Re: Weight Watchers
Love it Preston1990 and I will certainly be joining you on the 2nd January as I certainly have been overindulging over the festive season even eating other people's cakes
and as for exercise
I will be having to dust the DVD box as it hasn't been done for well over a month
I have taken your advice re gaining more weight hence a bigger challenge for the new year as you know I do enjoy a challenge
Hope everyone is enjoying the festive season and as Preston says we will be back in the new year ready for another episode of the Weight Watchers saga:D We will be so trim by the FMUK meet up in April you will hardly recognise us
I have just b*ght a pair of tight smarter jeans for my holiday in March so have no choice but to get it off - they are not supposed to be tight but as there is so much more of me to fit in them now hence the snug fit.
Hope everyone is enjoying the festive season and as Preston says we will be back in the new year ready for another episode of the Weight Watchers saga:D We will be so trim by the FMUK meet up in April you will hardly recognise us

Re: Weight Watchers
OMG I have just got on the scales and absolutely horrified to see how much weight I have put on
I have set my target for a few pounds less than what I had got to in August 2012 as I needed a few more pounds off. I have no choice but to start today as I go away in 9 weeks so want to get off at least 9lbs by then plus I am back at work today so a good day to start as I can't eat at work plus I am going to Pizza Express for dinner tonight so will be having a Leggera and will commence exercising tomorrow. Looking forward to everyone else joining in in the new year.
It's bran flakes for breakfast and I will have to deal with my stomach rumbling later

Ditto, was very much a beached whale on Christmas day! Defo need to lose it and too scared to get on the scale in case I break themDiane65 wrote:OMG I have just got on the scales and absolutely horrified to see how much weight I have put onI have set my target for a few pounds less than what I had got to in August 2012 as I needed a few more pounds off. Re: Weight Watchers
So a good group us on the wagon after the New Year then? Good stuff as I have started on the kid's selection boxes as they are fussy buggers and don't eat any mars products or most cadbury bars lol

I have been very bad! Detox starts Monday... too much temptation before then and I don't want to fail!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Re: Weight Watchers
I'd had my weekly chocolate treat on Xmas Eve; then my sister arrived next day and 3 of the presents she gave me were chocolate - aargh! I lapsed and ate one, but hastily gave OH the other two to hide and dole out at the normal interval. I think keeping busy (including going back to work, if that's an option) and trying to get back to normal as soon as possible, is the best way to get back on track, for me at least.

Re: Weight Watchers
What lovely presents and as you say the key to it is a weekly treat. I am having my free John Lewis coffee and cake tomorrow as my weekly treat (well it is OH's and he doesn't want to go) but I will be walking there and back, having a black coffee and sharing the cake with DD as she too is trying to cut back due to overindulgence at Christmas. As you say the getting back to work/normality is key - I actually circle the programmes I'm going to watch in the TV guide over Christmas whereas in normal life I can go an entire week without even switching on the television.Ms Thrifty wrote:I'd had my weekly chocolate treat on Xmas Eve; then my sister arrived next day and 3 of the presents she gave me were chocolate - aargh! Menu of the day:
Malted wheat bread banana open sandwich (cut the bread miles too thick hence the open bit) with a small glass of milk (to keep my calcium levels up) (350 calories)
Piri piri hummous with 6 multi grain crackers accompanied by cucumbers and tomatoes followed by a natural yoghurt with frozen raspberries (defrosted) (350 calories)
Sweet potato with ratatuoille followed by a persimmon (500 calories as persimmons have about 120 calories in each
Just about to start my Tracy Anderson exercise DVD which I know will be hard work due to my recent spell of laziness - I'm ashamed to say that my body aches when I get up until I have a really good stretch and from time to time throughout the day which is purely due to inactivity.
Have a fun day everyone and for those not starting until next week enjoy all your festive food and fun.

Re: Weight Watchers
What an imaginative and tempting menu, Diane65 - and if it's good for you and helps you cut down, even better!
Another brilliant idea is having a JL card for your OH, too - must ask mine if he'd agree! My sister was sent two, by mistake, and two sets of cake/drink vouchers, but she hasn't asked for help using them - shame!

Re: Weight Watchers
What a shame that your sister hasn't asked for help with the JL vouchers
I started to feel quite hungry last night so decided to paint my nails to keep myself occupied and basically to stop me eating the Christmas chocolates as I can't get the wrappers off with wet nails. Today it will be the walk to John Lewis for my exercise of the day. The Tracy Anderson DVD was hard work yesterday but can only get easier the more I do it
Menu of the day:
Milkshake with a banana and raspberries (300 calories) - It was yourself MsThrifty that has got me into this a couple of years ago.
John Lewis cake as sharing it only approx 250 calories
I will update this when I see which cake we are having
Brushetta with balsamic vinegar (200 calories) as will still be fairly full from the cake (I hope)
Gammon with sweet potato wedges, salad dressed with balsamic vinegar served with pineapple salsa - looking for a healthy recipe to make this as I have pineapple rings that I froze a couple of months ago and it always goes nicely with gammon(400 calories - I will weigh everything to keep it to this calorie wise).
A plum and a kiwi (50 calories)
Just noticed that I am still on for 1200 calories so it won't count as my treat day
It's the sharing of the cake that is key to keeping the calories down although I hate having to share my cake
Hope that everyone else is still enjoying the festive treats and looking forward to having some company in the new year
Thanks to MsThrifty for your encouragement.
