Errr....How far away from the shops do you live Diane?
:giggle: :nono: Not that far ended up at my Mother's then Aunties who's cat had a sore foot that she wanted me to look at  not used to looking at patients with furry feet ;) Hence ended up eating late and went downhill from there.

I have lost 1lb this week due to lack of effort and eating too much as the first week along with water loss is usually about 3lbs or at least 2. Have a few of us lost motivation for some reason or is it the addiction to our free John Lewis coffee and cakes? I still have OH's voucher to use as he isn't interested in cakes o/

I will only be able to do exercise on Wednesday and Friday evenings as either working late followed by the cinema or coffee and cakes followed by the cinema.

Lovely to have you on board missmac and love your inspirational post - loads of good ideas on there.

I have to get this weight shifted as I can't go on holidays wearing tight clothes as for one it would be most uncomfortable and for two I would look ridiculous :wall:

Not a good day today and tomorrow doesn't look any better. Lets just say OHs curry . Tomorrow I'm out for a lot of it so will have to eat out. Wednesday is looking better as I am more in control.
Diane I think OH has put away my exercise dvd in a ''safe" place, he has had a minimalist few days and that means stuff disappear s grrrrrr I expend energy trying to find the things I need!!

1st March to Marakesh and as it will be fairly warm will feel more comfortable without my winter fat.

Ooh! Lovely, I have always wanted to go to Marrakesh!

Today is my first day at the gym this year (I try not to go in January but it's a necessity) I had 2 operations on my shoulder last year so I can't do a lot, but it's better than nothing I suppose. If only I could get out of bed.. :tears:

Ooh, Marrakech should be lovely, Diane65! And how nice to reward yourself for all your hard work with an experience like that (which is apparently supposed to give longer-lasting pleasure than b*ying "things", though I don't necessarily agree). Marrakech was where OH and I went for our first ever holiday together - back in 1986 - and I'd love to go back. OH is planning to, but wants to do some gruelling trek. I certainly want some exercise, but not to rough it.

Good points made missmac, portion control is my problem, if its on my plate then I have been conditioned to eat it. Image I am trying to walk more but have to be careful that I don't aggravate my ligaments /tendons. Had a bad experience last week getting to the cinema and don't want that pain again!

Found this one on youtube about my level https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2DDcXPabtY

Still haven't found my dvd Diane grrr - going down the youtube route till it is found.

OH made a fried breakfast for lunch, if that makes sense BUT I am making potato and broccoli soup for tea. That should re-balance some calories.

OH is off to Mexico for 4 weeks soon (has been a bit of a globetrotter lately), so I will have more control on the foods cooked. I have no backbone to say no to his curries or stir fries and there lies a lot of my calories.

Right back to my exercises!!

So pleased that you liked it and I am really excited about going. I totally agree re the life experience but I do always like to b*y a treat from everywhere I go - I love their lanterns, bright clothes and tea sets not forgetting the jewellery but I can get carried away with the holiday mood and what I could wear in Marrakech won't necessarily look good back in Manchester  We want to have a hammam, see the Atlas mountains, go on a camel ride and basically soak up the atmosphere - sorry off topic here :nono: but riding a camel is exercise and walking around the Atlas mountain too ;)

I too like you Baty have been brought up to finish what is on my plate  Good luck finding the dvd as it really does work especially when I actually do it :shifty: Good luck with your work out Baty o/

I'm under the same ruling that I have to eat everything on my plate which is why I now have a smaller plate!

Which DVD is it Baty?

If you're a lover of food, have you tried the Hairy Dieters cook books? The first one is amazing (and was £5 on thebookpeople) they have curry recipes in there, so you could have your curry fix AND not worry so much about your waistline.

We have a lot of favourites in there, the chicken & ham tangle pie is dreamy (and doesn't taste diet at all) In fact, none of it tastes diet, we often serve it up when we have people round & no one realises it's diet. I also did a selection of curries and asked people to guess which ones were the diet one, no one guessed the korma because it tasted so creamy - but it was the diet one and the others weren't!

Diane - I do that too! It's a lovely way to walk around your house & remembering where you have been. I am very jealous! We have a lot of work to do on the house so we have decided only camping holidays this year to keep costs down - I am sure by December I am going to be pulling my hair out for some constant 7 day sun (because Sheffield isn't really known for it's tropical climate!)

The DVD is Tracy Anderson, missmac - suggested by Diane65.
The warm up session had me puffing but my OH has 'put it somewhere safe' :wall: and I can't find it. I will have to take everything out of a downstairs cupboard, where I suspect it is. This will have to wait until he is out of the way, as he will want to throw usable items (he would call rubbish) away! Currently using youtube exercises.

I will look up the hairy bikers book but I have sooo many recipe books :shifty: it would have to be good to be allowed in.
On the plus side - I lost .3 of a kilo. Not much but it's start.

So astonished, I said NO to BACON & EGG!! OH was going to have brunch but now is thinking of a boiled egg. Seems I can have an effect on the 2 of us, obviously the .3 kilo has had a positive effect.
