TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:DIANE....So when we all meet up in April, you thinking of covering up with a long coat, huh? I dont think so! That's not the way to think and you know it :) You are going to flaunt the 5 lbs that you will lose in 9 weeks time. That was your special rate you've been doing all the time and you will do it again :) So get down with the veggies and do those exercise...10-15 mins...thats all they take, 10-15mins...maybe sniff along with Nicole?!. The more intense you do them, the shorter your workouts can be. Higher intensity in short bursts loses more body fat than lengthy workouts at lower intensity. So lets see your schedule :) no excuses. As Baty demonstrated, there are always way round obstacles. And you know it because you've been setting that magnificent example for the past few years as Queen of this thread and I'd love to see you continue that example.

Ok was that harsh? I'm blaming it on the blasted military film I saw today but everyone is a good cop here so I might as well do the bad cop routine :) SO everyone, work around your obstacles, illnesses, injuries, workloads, there is always a way around to achieving your desires.
Sometimes a stern ticking off is required and it was well overdue  As you have said Baty is a shining example as to how you can overcome having an injury and a gluten free diet and still achieve your goals :D I will try and add a few sniffs into my regime and as you say just takes 10-15 minutes. Off to work shortly but with hindsight I could have very easily fitted in a quick workout before I had my shower. As you have been harsh I will be honest I went out for lunch yesterday for my friend's birthday and as I went to the bathroom and was washing my hands I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and wrongly assumed that my top under my dress was folded over (it is too low at the front and designed to be worn with a vest top underneath) so tried to adjust myself so that it was smooth only to realise that it was a part of me 8O Not a good look plus I have just received my Boden catalogue this morning and it is fitted clothes for this summer so those lumps and bumps need to be history.

Good luck everyone o/

As for bananas, yip brilliant unless you have any kidney issues then not so good as potassium and phospherous are bad for kidney function. Poor DH has had to re-think a lot of his diet after a blood test result last week.
Well done with the Gym o/ Hope DH is OK and it must be so difficult when you have to watch your diet due to heath issues. A lot of people on this thread have health issues for which they have all managed to adapt their diets and still lose weight - I really have no excuse at all.
Ha Ha Diane65. When I was diagnosed as being a coeliac, I weighed 7 st 7lbs. I was 28 at he time and you could count my ribs, no 4 pack for me. The diet excludes gluten usually found in wheat. It was a total shock when I started to put on weight. Got to 9st and thought that's enough but unfortunately I met my OH who is a great cook. I had to break the my habit of eating anything I wanted and not put on the Lbs. The size of meals has dropped but I love my food.

My schedule will be Mon to Friday this week
Between 7-8 Exercise before brekie
Between 12-1 Exercise before lunch
Between 4-5 Exercise before tea
(edited for clarification, trying up to 3 videos)

Now I shall have to keep to it :D

What a reward Mr Glass, films. I think it's OK for you to be our Drill Master, after all you've seen the training film :D

Thanks Mr Glass, yesterday was hard but I did it, gym should be easier next week. Going to try some arm/weights stuff this weekend too. Feeling more positive and now back to my original goal weight. Think my body is happy there, just need to make that weight more toned muscle than chub lol. Have a great weekend everyone, off to Asda to check labels for phospherous and potassium for DH.

My DD and I have signed up for Race for Life again in May too, going to try to jog most of it this time, rather than power walk..... :red: 40mins is the time to beat!!!

Awesome. exercising before meals are the perfect times....however, am I reading it right, are you planning 3 separate hour sessions of exercises, 5 days a week? Thats 15 hours per week. Perhaps a bit too much unless, those exercise sessions are 10-15mins long plus warm down/cool downs? Believe it or not, There is an elastic limit to how much exercising is effective. There is such a thing as too much exercise. It is also important to give the body time to recover. In fact the fat burning occurs AFTER the exercising. How? Well the body repairs itself after the stresses are applied. And it is this process of repair that the fat fuel is burnt in the next several hours, especially when you sleep at night. Is your therapy exercises a daily prescription? You can exercise twice or thrice in a day, provided it is different muscle groups that are being exercised. So instead of doing a whole body workout in one session, you could split it in two or three. However, you would need to warm up and cool down for each session adding extra time. Just some pointers for you to think about. Otherwise that's awesome determination. o/ o/

Today is my rest day so my body can reap the benefits of the week's work. Also, I am eating more calories today to ensure the brain does not think the body is going into starvation mode due to the lower calories consumed for the rest of the week.

Its a marvelous fat burning secret. You see when you decrease your calorie intake drastically, after a few days, the brain is alerted to "food shortage" alert. So what happens then, the body preserves the fat storage and uses other means of fuel including muscle fuel and that is VERY BAD. So the trick is, after a few days of low calorie consumption and before the brain sounds an alert, we tell it "hey, look there's lots of food, we cool dude, lets keep using the fat storage fuel" by eating more calories for one day. Then can restart the low calorie consumption for the next few days. Its brilliant and it worked for me which I learnt from health fitness experts that I used on my own fat loss journey and on my Health and Fitness qualification course.

Although, its my rest/comfort eating day, I am going to do a ten minute abs workout because I didnt do enough in that area during the week but it wont affect the recovery period of the rest of my body. SO should be ok.

Have a great weekend guys.

Diane, lol...ok, bumps = history, you said it, so it shall be done, right? Your new mantra :)

OOOOhhhhh no, I meant sometime between 7 and 8, etc. Thought that would give me a little leeway if I was late starting. ;)

My goal is to do 3 of the videos. That's not counting the foot and calf ones. Didn't quite manage to keep up with her today and my grandson(who seems to have followed me back to my house!) was having a bash as well. He expected 'big' muscles in his arms at the end of the video and I was amazed that he kept going for the whole 9 mins.

Definitely not going to over do it.

Forgot about the rugby today so a bit behind in the tea time session but have been wriggling and jumping to the onscreen play. I'm sure I can loose calories shouting at the telly :D

Thanks for the ongoing advice Mr G

I too read it that not only have you got a major foot problem and incorporating a gluten free diet into your day you are still managing to fit in 3 hours of exercise each day on top of baby sitting. I really do admire you anyway but I was in total awe of you

Breakfast and lunch: Somethings are best unsaid - You can imagine me being an enigma
I was really having a breakfast sizzler at Chiquitos along with DD, akh43, yogi, r33ceh and family but pretend I'm mysterious was so stuffed I couldn't eat lunch :shifty:
Dinner: Just had a delicious dinner of steamed (well sort of http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/ ... =280466999 - works out as it has added oil about 27 calories for the seasoning per person ) garlic chicken, sweet potato and salad with balsamic vinegar. I know that I could have seasoned it myself but got these to try for DD to take back with her as so convenient and as on offer gave it a try.

Sounds like a tasty breakfast in good company, nice :) so now perhaps make this your comfort day and rest of the week, eat healthier and keep remembering your goal. It's not about quantity of calories, its all about quality calories and you know what they are, clue: definitely not sizzlers ;)

Good positive note MrG so that can be my comfort day. I have already finished work for the day (I have a few odd hours still to take off so have 3 hours leave this afternoon) :cheer:
Menu of the day:
Milkshake with raspberries and a banana
Ham salad sandwich and a light choices yoghurt
Sweet and sour chicken made from scratch - makes a nice change from my lazY prepared meals that I have been having.

Plenty of time for some exercise this afternoon o/ Hope that everyone else is being good - I know that's a bit rich coming from me.
