:shifty: It was CARROT cake though, so that would have been OK. Counts as one of your five a day!! o/ ;)

Seriously though I'm another one who needs to get back on here again, update charts and make new plans etc etc! :D

Hope you have a lovely time in France, Baty!!

It was great to see you Preston, you look great! But sadly, the carrot doesnt count as your one a day ;)

You too, Baty, what a trooper you were on the Glossop trip. You were so determined to walk the Earth with us and no doubt at times equally determined to impale me with your crutch :)

Hi-de-hi campers.......

Diane65 - as i remember a few of the weeds were White Dead Nettles(leaves and flowers), Chickweed(all above ground greenery), Hairy Bittercress(leaves) and Sweet Cicely(be careful with this close relatives are poisonous - has distinctive white patches on leaves and tastes of anniseed). Where I live they are all available along the canal, wasteland and hedgerows in the countryside(i think).

Quite chuffed today. I got my bike out and cycled across town to the gym and home again afterwards. I haven't been on it for over 18 months as I felt like I was going to die when I last used it. I found it fairly easy after the running that I have been doing of late. the only downfall was after a perfect morning the heavens opened just before I was leaving on the bike and stopped just after I got off it at the gym.

So, me thinks biking is called for instead of the bus for most of my in town journeys from now on - well through to the autumn.

This should help me lose some more weight around my middle - yippee.....

Bysie bye campers. back to the books - now for my assessment....

Purchased a Cineworld Card, so I'm seeing a lot less free films as i am not travelling as far to see them.

Woohoo! a fellow biker. o/ It is great exercise, but never underestimate that the very act of cycling seems to have the ability to generate it's own adverse microclimate. ;)

I'm forcing myself into a morning routine as I'm getting so bad at doing either my breakfast & exercise first thing. Put alarms on my phone all labelled up and it's both helpful and annoying! However, even with not doing much I've managed to lose another 3 pounds this week which I'm rather pleased about - I just need to keep it up now.

Well done with the 3lb weight loss that is brilliant o/

As my holiday is looming and I have done nothing whatsoever for ages in terms of healthy eating or exercise it is no wonder that I have put on another 2lbs which I'm so annoyed with myself about as basically I have put on half the weight I lost :wall:  I've already arranged to go out for coffee and cakes tomorrow  but that can be my treat day. I have got a completely free weekend so can do my exercise DVD one day and a good walk the next plus get eating some seriously healthy food as I do like cooking and exercising but sadly love eating in general. As we all said at the meet up lets get the motivation rolling once again o/

Well done on the three pounds weight loss Distortthecode. :cheer:

I succumbed to the charms of a 'Cadburys Cream Egg' easter egg last night :tears: Well half a one at any rate, shared with one of my DDs. To be clear that's half an actual traditional chocolate easter egg plus a Cadburys cream egg. Going to have to knuckle down to some healthier eating and partake of more exercise. Weighday tomorrow - will assess the damage done over the last few weeks and make plans to get back on track. Dashing now - things to do, plans to hatch, texts to re-send! ;)

Thanks Diane65 & Preston1990!!!

I’ve been battling with the upcoming demon that is Easter Sunday, but I’ve already decided that it will be a treat weekend as I’m visiting family so I will have to be fairly good, but in the interim it’s hard going shopping and seeing everything just super super chocolate. Did a little bit of experimenting in the kitchen and managed to come up with the following to sate my cravings for the time being.

2 tsps agave nectar
3 tsps coco powder (I used Green & Blacks and it had the lowest sugars)
½ tsp coconut oil
1 tsp pure peanut butter (I used the Biona one)
Milk

Basically I mixed everything together except for the milk in the glass until smooth and then added the milk afterwards just to smooth it out and to fill some of the volume and mellow the chocolate slightly. It’s like a chocolate ganache but I just made a shot glass worth and it was more than enough for both me and my boyfriend. Was absolutely lovely and satisfied my chocolate craving without it being too naughty.

Well, I got weighed yesterday - and went to update the chart thing that I keep to torture myself with, only to find that I hadn't updated it for 4 weeks 8O

Bizarrely, I was actually one pound less than I was when I last got weighed. o/

I could barely believe it, as I haven't been exercising much or eating very healthily for what seems like ages, so had assumed that I'd have put a boatload of weight on.

The one pound overall weight loss across those four weeks must have been due to my recent lengthy toothache episode. Must have worked well as an appetite suppressant! Every black cloud .....and all that!! ;)

Feel quite encouraged now - salady stuff, stir fries and loads of vegetables for me now whilst this improved weather is with us! o/ I've just worked out that in the two years  that I've been on my (yo-yo) diet - I'm now actually 27 pounds down overall from where I started - although at my best I had actually been 37 pounds down. Need to strengthen my resolve and get back there again. :nono:

I'm liking the sound of that yummy sounding chocolate ganache Distortthecode! o/

What's everybody else up to? :D
