The Hunger Games
Re: The Hunger Games
Can't wait to see the film under new director. Book was great but the first movie didn't do the book justice

Re: The Hunger Games
Me too! It was absolutely awesome. So thrilling! Much better than I expected and better than the first film. 9/10. Thank you ritamistry for taking me and lovely to catch jeanelle and claire there too.
0/10 for the red carpet and intro - i.e. they were both non existent for ticket holders! Comp winners were sent to Screen 1 and 2 at Odeon West End, queuing in a rather long queue that snaked all the way from the Square, round to McDonalds and down to Panton Street, in the rain! We joined it towards the end, after trying to catch some red carpet footage through the throngs of people and trees! The stars and VIP went to Leicester Square Odeon, where they beamed the intro to our screen at Odeon West End. To cap it all, they even took our phones on the way in.

Re: The Hunger Games
Thanks to the wonderful generosity of claire I got to see this great film at its World Premiere!
We had a much better red carpet experience than pxc and ritamistry it seems. There was a very long and winding route thru Leicester Square and they kept stopping us so various celeb guests could be photographed on the carpet just ahead of us and claire managed to catch some shots too. I can't remember all the names but one was definitely in the film - Liam something I think
Anyway I thought the film was very exciting, amazing special effects and terrifying monkeys. The next two films are apparently scheduled for Nov 2014 and Nov 2015 which doesn't seem fair!

Re: The Hunger Games
Catching Fire is currently sitting high in my top 10 of the year. Genuinely adored it, well paced with a lot of time to delve into all the issues raised from the first one, mainly coping with murder and such, and the last hour as the games are played out in a really satisfyingly different way is just fantastic. Capped with great performances and direction, I'm excited to see Francis Lawrence is attached to both Mockingjay films as well, he raised the bar from Gary Ross' ugly and disappointing first film considerably.

Re: The Hunger Games
I loved Catching Fire, it was just like the book - in fact better! I would give it 9/10. Those monkeys were scary but Jennifer Lawrence kicked some serious butt, I do love a strong female lead. I have to watch it again.
Francis Lawrence is a genius. I read somewhere that he has already filmed 6 weeks of Mockingjay, its going to be amazing.
Thank you prettyxcool for your company, despite the rain it was so worth it.

We saw Brendan from strictly come dancing , union j ( have to admit I thought they were a different group at first tho but did recognise them ) rizzle kicks, Phil turner ,Richard from daybreak , the new addition to the cast Jeffrey wright and the lovely Liam hemsworth
Managed photos of the all. But haven't yet worked out how to post here.
We timed it well tho. As got held up for press photos so could click away
