That's not as easy as it sounds. As far as I can tell whatever browser you use, you need to install an add-on to do it.

When I'm out which is often, I check my email on my phone and the same for when my computer isn't on. I don't want to have FMUK open all the time on either my phone or laptop.

The whole point of subscribing to threads is so you don't have to have the forum open.

I have no access to FMUK when at work except for my lunchtime, it is blocked all other times so not an option for me. Also no access to my emails either most of the time as no personal emails allowed at work and they are blocked, I got around this by forwarding my emails from my personal email account. When I am out and about I rely on wifi so no ideal on my phone either. I used to sneak on my phone when I got an email but no good if you dont get the email to alert you.

For doing it at regular intervals in the background. When emails come through they attract attention. If you want something similar then you need auto refresh.

Yesterday's alert took 10 hours to get to my email.

Gah completely missed out on carol due to non-working alerts. :wall: and I've been checking in regularly just can't check every 15mins. That's what alerts are supposed to do. :wall:
