Well, not if you wear waterproofs!

Both times when I went last year it rained intermittently throughout the performances.

Was abit distracting to hear the rustle, rustle, rustle of groundlings putting on and then taking off their jackets/ponchos etc!

But don't worry -you'll have a great time at the Globe. Just dress warmly.

Please let us know how you get on if you decide to go. I will be interested to hear what you think of the production as I am due to go on Saturday.

I have only been to the Globe once or twice and found the benches extremeley uncomfortable - I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be to stand in the rain for hours instead but I guess you are getting the original experience...

You do know you can rent cushions? It obviously increases the price a little but on the few (maybe as few as two) occasions I have been there, I have planned to do this and duly done so - it would be unbearably uncomfortable otherwise. You can take authenticity too far...

Yeah, like I would p*y a pound for a bloody cushion! They should be provided free of charge!
No good for standing room either...

you could try one of those blow up air cushions that they gave out at the BP summer screenings last year, Beate. They deflate to fit in your handbag too (and second as handy weapons to bat divvy cinema staff with).
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
