I'd like to thank everyone for a wonderful day and Jeanelle for my card. PXC can set a brisk walking pace, but if I knew where we were going and wasn't carrying so much, I could have left her for dust. :D I'm still staring at my cup cake wondering when I should eat it. I'm thinking tomorrow as its rather late now.

It was nice to meet so many people and I think there was talk of the next one being in Manchester so that the Scottish contingent stands a chance of coming. It will be nice to meet them also.
o/ Sounds like a great idea!
I am really pleased that you all had a great day but wish I could have been there . . . maybe next time in Manchester! :cross:
Glad it went so well and the weather was good for you all.

Manchester sounds like a good idea for next year - may be the Scottish folks can come too and Diane can act as interpreter as she has been up to Edinburgh!! ;)

Had a great day yesterday, was really good to put faces to all the lovely people especially the many who have helped me out on here.

Thanks to Diane65 for arranging the Manchester visit and sightseeing and the prettyxcool for arranging the venue in London and taking us around London afterwards, thanks to Jeanelle for the name glasses, what a great idea and green too, recycling the many 3D glasses we all must have.

Thanks for all the great company during the sightseeing, great to see Andrews and Jordsmum again after last years mini FMUK meet in Manchester.

Thanks to Steve9872 for the helpful advice, and to all those who brought books, etc, and special thanks for the cinema tickets to eumenides, like a few others I seemd to come back with almost as much as I brought.

We definitely have to have another FMUKCON next year, Manchester would be a great venue, but would be willing to travel as I really enjoyed my day.

Nice to meet greece and her OH, sorry to see you are leaving us, enjoy whatever you and do keep in touch.

Thanks to everyone who turned up and made this such a successful day.

Manchester is looking like the hotspot for next year and if the 3 ladies that I have met so far from Scotland are anything to go by they are certainly worth travelling for. They are such good fun and my interpretation skills will certainly be available on the day o/
I'm up for organising the Manchester end including the sight seeing tour if required ;)

I'm not one to gossip but he did have a brief one hour fling with Betty Botter as her OH in the comic museum the same place that MrGlass had the fling with Andrews 8O It must have been the place for Love  I adopted pcrock as my daughter while I was there so it certainly was the place to be so if anyone is looking for love the comic museum is the place to be ;)

Great to see so many of you yesterday and apologies to those that I didn't get a chance to speak to - next time? Many thanks to all those involved in the organisation - great venue pxc!
Beate wrote:OH's confused.com-ment when asked how he enjoyed the meet was "That was a smashing film, that was!"
I think that was partly my fault. I was chatting to him about the turnout and commented that it was good especially as there was no film on offer, as you usually needed a film to attract this crowd. It was a great line any way.

Glad it does, sadly it was never going to fit me!

Thank you again to pxc and Diane65 for all your work in organising such a great event, the FMUKCon advert was right, it was epic, already looking forward to next year's event o/
Great speaking with so many lovely people and sorry to have missed a few, I will have to try and catch up with you at one of the upcoming events or at the next FMUKCON. :D

I've been watching this thread with great interest, although being a relative newbie based in Scotland, attending didn't seem an option for me.

HOWEVER - if it does transpire that somebody DID meet the potential love of their life at FMUKCON and it leads to the first FMUK wedding, I hereby offer my services as registrar ('cause I am one!!!)

Ooh I do like a wedding and I do hope that you will be able to make the Manchester one next year which is already being planned as we speak, yogi has a fabulous choice of venue in mind.
