Continuing on with Simon Beckett's Dr Hunter. I love that feeling when you think you know who the killer is but there are still so many pages to go, everything can change.

This could just as well go in Rants & Raves, as all my library orders seem to coincide, with no way of regulating the flow, and then I can't renew anything because someone else is waiting for it!

That said, although I had to rush through it, I did enjoy the new William Nicholson, as Andrews said I would, and I've just collected the new Kate Atkinson, which promises another good read.

I have just finished reading 'The Puppeteer', by Lynda Kempsey. It's a historical novel, set in twelfth century Durham! An absolutely terrific read - highly recommended!

Enjoying the new Kate Atkinson, Life After Life. Just as well it's so readable as I have almost zero time for it at present and it's due back at the library, and unrenewable, within days.

Finally jumped on the wagon that is Before I Go To Sleep. It's funny, coz when I'm reading it, I just want to know what's on the next page, want to keep going, but once I put it down (as in get to my stop and have to squeeze my way out of the train) I don't feel the need to get back to it as soon as I can, and so it waits until I'm on my way again.

I have joined the book club at our local library, but holidays are getting in the way of full involvement. The next book on the list is The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway. Sadly, as I am not going to attend the meeting, I didn't get a book -

Has anyone read it? Shall I get it out of the library anyway?
