Alright, what have you all been up to? It's gone quiet again!
I'm pleased to say that I have lost just over half a stone since Christmas (8lb and change) and I am officially healthy again, weight wise.

Oh, and hell-month is over (yes, that's what us accountants call it) so I can go back to the theatre and zip around London like a mad woman again!
I've been doing as much walking as my ankle will take - still can't run, but I think I should be up to going back to the gym in the next few weeks. I know I keep saying that, but I think it's true this time. I've been able to walk further and for longer, so I am building up strength there. I can't believe how one stupid jaunt through a field has had such a long-lasting impact.

Sounds really basic, but I can now stand on the tube ok (when you're off the crutches and just have a bandage or ankle support on, no one can see you're in pain and being British, you don't want to ask for a seat!) and wear heels in business meetings (although I don't wear them all day). Such pathetic accomplishments, but they feel like really big victories...
I drink tea and coffee all the time - never any milk or sugar. If I do have milk, it's somewhat of a treat - I've saved quite a few calories over the past year by swapping my cappuccino for a black coffee. I find drinking water a bit of a chore sometimes, but I'm so British I'll never say no to a cuppa, so that's the easiest way of staying hydrated and not eating out of phantom hunger. It's stupid, but you can genuinely mistake being thirsty for being hungry, and that does sabotage the healthy eating.
My fad of the moment is WW Caramel Wafers (78 calories or thereabouts). They're absolutely yummy, and don't taste like diet food.
I've been operating on a calories in < calories out basis, which is simple, but works. The next challenge is to not only eat the right amount of calories for my height and frame, but to start eating better calories. More fruit and veg are called for...
Hope you're all having a fun and healthy weekend!
