I sent in a question about the Korean cyclist saying how much we liked him and how he deserved a film of his own. Macdonald said that the cyclist is in London at the moment. His bike no longer had a saddle so he can't sit down. Maybe he is London negotiating terms for his own film.

Just read that Okhwan Yoon, Korean cyclist is here for the film's premiere at Westfield.

Poor man was pretty much being ignored, standing there with his saddle less bike. BTW I heard your question Ejw o/ Why is it when I am looking forward to Kermode ripping into a film, he's not there  (Green Lantern)

The conversation went a bit like this:

OH: What's this film 'Life in a Day' about?

Self: It's incredible - shot over 24 hours, uploaded onto You Tube, it shows us what one day is like on earth for some people etc etc

OH: Oh, so you've seen it already?

Self: Yes, there have been loads of screenings but you didn't want to go.

OH: Will you come with me to see it?

Self: :wall:

I just don't understand why this movie has got such good reviews!
I should have stayed at home and watch "Out of Africa" again.
Waste of time.

Wow, just caught up with this and thought it was incredible.

Such a simple idea and brilliantly executed, and not just technically - although it was a wonderful achievement just to make something coherent from the vast amount of soure footage.

There's a least half dozen really powerful moments and loads of intriguing litlle glimpses into peoples rich and varied lives.

I think it's on iPlayer for a bit if people are interested. Well worth a watch.

Personally, I found the film really boring. I watched a free screening of this months ago and although there were some light hearted bits, and the odd funny bit, due to the length of the film, I actually started switching off towards the middle. Many people walked out in the first 20 mins and if it wasn't for me thinking the others I was with were enjoying it, I would have too (seemed we were all in the same boat, no one enjoyed it). 4/10

I suppose it's whether you think the little snippets of other people's lifes interesting or not as to whether you will like this film
