Holiday Autos £25 off code

Car hire firm Holiday Autos* is giving £25 off worldwide seven-day hires on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 August for rentals until 31 August 2012.

There's no minimum spend, though you do need to book for a minimum of seven days. However, any extras you order won't be discounted.

How to book

Go to Holiday Autos* and enter the code MSEAUG25 when prompted. The code is not valid on sales or with other offers.

Holiday Autos says the code is valid on 99% of car types, but in a few destinations its suppliers are not able to discount certain models. When you enter the code, it will show if it's not valid.

London Midland £15 unlimited day travelPrint voucher and book at kiosk

Get unlimited off-peak travel for £15 with London Midland trains on any of its routes. It's for half-term travel from Sat 20 Oct to Sun 4 Nov 2012, departing after 9.30am on weekdays and anytime at weekends.

Standard tickets cost £15 (railcards £9.90, children £5) for all day, unlimited travel. First class is £25 (child £10).

Print The Great Escape voucher for the day you want to travel on and take it to any staffed London Midland station. There are 63,000 vouchers in total, and weekends sell out much quicker than weekdays. Once you have the voucher, there's no rush to get your ticket - the rush is to get the voucher.

National Express £1 tix with 45p paperNewspaper-based offer

What's the deal?

National Express is offering 50,000 one-way coach tickets across the UK for £1 when you get vouchers from certain newspapers - Daily Mirror, The People, Daily Record and some regional titles - till Sun 7 Oct 2012.

You can get a return trip for under £3ish all-in when you add the 45p-ish cost of a paper. By comparison, full price London-Manchester singles cost £9-£29, so it's a decent saving. Tickets are subject to availability, so get in quick.

Arriva Trains Wales £17 returns for over-55sBuy online

Over 55s can travel anywhere on the Arriva Trains Wales network for £17 return when booking online. It's for off-peak travel only (and on Fridays it's £24) until 24 Mar 2013. You can book up to 12 weeks in advance but the return leg must be made within eight days of the outbound journey.

If you have a Senior or Disabled Railcard, show it and you'll get an extra £1 off. If you're booking over the phone or b*ying at the station, you'll p*y £19 (£18 if you show a valid railcard).
