It's a sweet movie with solid performances but forget a spoonful of sugar, take it with a pinch of salt. Please come check out my full review here: http://ilovethatfilm.blogspot.co.uk/201 ... eview.html

Can people please be careful what they post on FF - I don't want to see any VIP codes or for the wrong dates.

Brilliant Film,

I've seen Mary Poppins (who hasn't?!) but had no idea of (either the books or) the story behind it.
Hanks brings Disney to life in a thoroughly well rounded performance.
Please though, lets not forget the stand-out Colin Farrell..!!

Great stuff for all the family :)

For me it was a another good serving of Disney magic... lovely to have an idea of the story behind Mary Poppins!

Really liked this film, am definitely going to read the books now, the security guard tipped us off to stay until the end for the closing scene after the credits.

Sadly, we had some kids who should have known better and decided to start giggling loudly, between them and the audience shushing them I completely missed the scene between Travers and Margaret, I think it was the only one of them alone together, I just couldn't hear what was said, can anyone fill me in?
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Take away hanks & thompson & farrell & this is a 5/10 tv movie.

With them, 6/10.

Underwhelmed.
