Well surprisingly there were few little ones at the Apollo. I would have gone to Westfield if it wasn't much further away, I think they had some special children's activities before that screening.
I really liked this film, it was alot of fun and the 3D wasn't too intrusive like other films but did add to the quality of the film. The animation has gone up a notch again, especially when you look at the water scenes and how they animate the hair for the characters.
There wasn't much of the usual dreamworks animation post-modern quirks, which I found nice. It was more of a "traditional" story animation, which was quite refreshing. It wasn't trying to be too clever and it had a good interesting story to tell.
One thing did annoy me were the accents, are we to assume Vikings sound Scottish? and Jay Baruchel wasn't the right voice for Hiccup I think, they needed someone abit more younger/innocent sounding.
However it's a minor point, I think the film was alot of fun to watch and would do well over the Easter period. 7.5/10
