Thought Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader stole the show but otherwise a bit slight, if very funny in parts

Pretty much a "meh" film for me....a few funny bits but it dragged mostly and I found myself checking my watch too many times....5 out of 10.

Exactly what I had thought!!! Not a great film at all! Looking back at it, I was far too generous with my marking!

Young'un wrote:Saw this at Wimbledon tonight, the cinema was about 70% full. Found the film quite average if not disappointing, with a few funny moments but not really that interesting and was a bit bored with the story being so slow and dragged out. Definitely an easy way to waste almost 2hrs without having to think too much. Not nearly as good as I had expected it to be 5/10 and quite happy I hadn't pa*d to see this!
LOL that track is used in one of my Body Combat classes where we do an Evasive Flying Side Kick or rather try to do one 8-)
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

My opioion, a very disapointing film, was expecting this to be a lot more funnier, they really need to stop advertising this as 'from the makers of SUperBad', the expectation for it to be a funny film becomes quite high which this film just falls flat on its face..

Think I forgot to post about this film - anyway like most others I also thought it was disappointing - quite boring and like dovetail says a bit 'meh'. Even Ryan Reynolds couldn't save it. Could have been great but it just isn't. Had a few funny moments but all in all I wouldn't overly recommend. 6/10.

Watched most of it, what a SNOOZEFEST which is a shame as I was really looking forward to it.
Hit the eject button about 50 mins into it (which felt like 90) & watched The Boat That Rocks instead at least its funny in parts!! :)

A bit a delayed response – saw this a few weeks back - thought this was a pretty pointless film, so glad that I didn’t p*y for it.

Trying to find Adventureland (mini rant)

#69 Post by IamJen » Thu Sep 17, 2009 10:32 pm

Okay after seeing around 9,362 previews for this flick, I'd been looking forward to seeing it on opening weekend. However, it's not playing anywhere in Oxford! Nothing this past week, and zilch tomorrow at our two resident Odeons, the Phoenix (Picturehouse), and a Vue. Neither is it at the Cineworld in Didcot.

What's up with this? I'd really like to see this movie, but not sure I want to travel to Reading for it.

Yikes!

That is puzzling, because you have quite a choice of cinemas there; also, it did get good reviews and is likely to appeal to younger people, whose supposed tastes usually seem to determine what is shown.
