Scream 4 won't be 3-D
Kevin Williamson has revealed that the next Scream film will be bucking the trend, and won't be in 3-D.
Horror films have really taken to the reemergence of the 3-D format, but the original film's writer insists they won't be going that way for Scream 4.
He told IESB, "I don't think Scream lends itself to a 3-D film. (They) are all about things being thrown at you. One of the things that Scream does is that it talks about those movies and sends them up, so actually putting in that device probably wouldn't work.
"I don't think it's an option. We're the movie that makes fun of it. I can imagine Stab (Film within a film) being done in 3-D, but not Scream."

Re: Movie Gossip and News
Zachary Quinto has been forced to dismiss rumours he's quit Star Trek, after comments he made in a recent interview about "stepping away" from the movie franchise sent fans into a spin.
The Heroes star plays Spock in JJ Abrams' 2009 revival of the sci-fi saga, and is expected to return for a series of sequels.
But Star Trek devotees went into a panic this week after the actor's interview with Wired.com, in which he hints at a hiatus from the franchise, hit the internet.
He said, "I'm stepping away from Star Trek for at least two years - no movies, no conventions, no anything for a while."
But Quinto is adamant his comments were misconstrued.
In a post on his official blog, he writes, "Obviously I will be a part of any upcoming films... reprising my role as Spock. What I meant was that in the meantime I won't be making any public appearances related to the franchise - or doing any more auxiliary projects pertaining to the Trek universe (sic). I will be focusing my efforts on other projects and preparing to shoot the next film - which will be released in June of 2012... two years from now. Hence the no Trek for two years remark. Worry not Trekkers. It was a misunderstanding of context."

Charles Dance to star in first Tesco movie
Charles Dance, the veteran actor, is to star in Tesco's first movie.
Dance plays a Russian millionaire and top fashion businessman who gets caught up in a spate of murders during Paris Fashion Week. Photo: Andrew Crowley
The Gosford Park actor will feature alongside Trudie Styler, wife of the rock star Sting, in the adaptation of the Jackie Collins novel LA Connections.
The film, to be called Paris Connections, is based around the fashion world in the French capital and has now begun shooting.
It is the first of a series of films which production company Amber Entertainment is making in a deal with supermarket Tesco. The retailer is co-producing the movies and will have the exclusive rights to sell and market the films.
Harley Cokeliss, the award-winning director, will bring to life the novel by Collins, who is also one of the producers.
Along with three more ''Connections'' movies, negotiations with popular authors like Phillip Pullman and Jacqueline Wilson are taking place as part of the deal.
Paris Connections will be available at Tesco from May.

Sacha Baron Cohen's Oscar sketch has been axed by film bosses, due to "creative differences". It is thought that the British funnyman had planned to poke fun at the Oscar-nominated movie Avatar in the performance, which was set to include Ben Stiller. "I hate to use the term, because it's so ubiquitous, but there were 'creative differences'," said the star's agent Matt Labov. "Nothing acrimonious, but both sides felt that since they couldn't agree, [Cohen] might as well remain in London." The Bruno star was reportedly set to appear on stage as a fictional Avatar character, with Ben Stiller acting as translator to what he was saying. The character would eventually get angry and reveal that he was pregnant with James Cameron's baby, before confronting the Avatar director about it from the stage.
Sacha Baron Cohen isn't the only star not to attend the ceremony on Sunday. The Hurt Locker producer Nicolas Chartier was banned after he sent an email out to voters urging them to vote for his movie over Avatar.

Ritchie to direct King Arthur tale!
First it was Sherlock Holmes, now it's King Arthur's chance to get reimagined by Guy Ritchie.
The British director has signed on to direct the latest movie version of the legend of King Arthur – with Trainspotting's John Hodge on scripting duties.
Both Ritchie and Hodge are working on the story, which is said to be based on Le Morte d’Arthur - a collection of French and English tales by Thomas Mallory, reports Variety.
It's no surprise Ritchie is being sought after for big budget epics, he has become something of a Hollywood darling after his take on Sherlock Holmes resulted in a successful run at the worldwide box office.
I can't wait to see the London gangster element in this story!

Marketing catastrophe for Uma Thurman as new film Motherhood takes just £88 on opening weekend
Uma Thurman's latest film has bombed at the British box office - making just £88 in its opening weekend.
The movie, which tells the story of a stressed mother attempting to raise her children and pursue a writing career, was watched by just one person when it opened last Sunday, meaning it took only £9 on its first day.
Over the entire opening weekend, no more than 12 people went to see the film, which cost $5million to make and also stars Minnie Driver and a cameo by Jodie Foster.
When contacted about the dismal failure of Motherhood, producer Jane Edelbaum said: 'You're kidding? We must have broken a new record for grosses!'
While Motherhood took just over £40,000 in the U.S. when it opened last year, Edelbaum blames Metrodome, the company in charge of promoting the film in the UK, for its extraordinary lack of success in Britain.
She told The Guardian: 'Think about how much crap succeeds at the cinema. Motherhood is not bad. It's a very decent movie. I've seen movie that are not half as good.'
Renowned film critic Barry Norman, who famously fronted BBC Film programme, added: 'Good God. I have never heard of anything like this before.
'This is not some small, independent movie. It's astonishing that only about 11 people could be bothered to go and see Uma Thurman.
'The reviews were very poor indeed but that alone isn't enough to explain this. It's a reasonable assumption that there was a marketing and advertising catastrophe and people didn't know it was showing.'
Mr Norman also referenced he decision to only allow one British cinema chain, Apollo, to show the film for its failure.
He added: 'It should really have attracted more than 11 people in passing trade alone. Apollo cinemas, after all, aren't in tucked away places. They are all prominently located.'
However, despite its dismal takings, Motherhood is not officially Britain's lowest grossing film on its opening weekend.
That doubtful honour was bestowed on 2007 movie My Nikifor, a film about Polish artist Nikifor Krynicki, which took just £7 on its debut weekend.
Other films to have flopped at the box office include Sahara, starring Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz, which made a $121million loss and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's now infamous movie Gigli, which made a loss of $66million.
