Really enjoyed this. Saw it at the Notting Hill Gate yesteday morning, and it was perfect Sunday morning fare.

I thought it was a modern rom-com, and it was fine to feel a bit confused and questioning about certain things. Nice to have to engage brain!

I wasn't sure about the motivation for wanting to break up the relationship, as I thought Andrew Lincoln's character was a nice man - just a bit dull. I thought it was rough that this was reason enough to ditch him at the altar.

I thought the performances were great, and I enjoyed a singalong to Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and loved the Dirty Dancing scenes too.

It didn't bother me in the slightest that the film was subtitles, and I sincerely hope that doesn't put anybody off.

9/10

I also saw this at the Ritzy in Brixton. I loved it!
A brilliant French film that is slick, funny, romantic and at times laugh out loud...to top it off it even pa*d homage to Dirty Dancing!
What more could you ask for from a film?!
I will be p*ying to see this again!

Just seen this at Wandsworth. I thought the film was funny and different. I want to see it again. I thought it was original and enjoyed the chemistry between the 2 main actors!

The dirty dancing bit was great! 8.5/10 from me

I've just seen this tonight at the Odeon, MetroCentre. The screen was fairly full and mostly female. I sat with anjirose, jmbblue and friend. I think that the group of teenage girls who were so irritating when we were at Karate Kid were there tonight (or they had sent their representatives).

I found the film tremendous fun - the French do this sort of comedy really well. All the lead characters were great - the husband and wife duo were particularly entertaining.

And some more stunning scenery - we've seen quite a lot on our travels round the world recently - Tuscany, China and now Monaco. Three more places to add to the list of places I want to visit.

9/10 from me.

Just watched this at Didsbury about 70% full, I thought it was a fabulous funny film and I too loved the dirty dancing.
There was a girl who couldn't stop moaning about the film we felt sorry for her boyfriend even complaining on the way out about Vanessa Paradis being too thin 8O I guess a touch of jealousy there! 9/10 from me.

Saw this at Apollo Picadilly Circus today, which was pretty packed. I didn't think the story was that original, to be honest. Also, I didn't like that the girl dumped her fiance at the alter just because he was a bit dull. I quite liked the sister and her husband. They were really funny. 7 / 10

BTW, I got really annoyed at the start when the guy recited a poem in what he said was BRAZILIAN!!! Arghhhh!!!

We were split on this. Daughter and I enjoyed it (especially the Dirty Dancing routine) but husband hated it and was very surprised we didn't agree. We thought it far better than most of the American rom-coms we have suffered through this year.

Thanks to 5rannoch and Beate for helping out with a spare ticket.

OH and I saw this at Crawley last night - very poorly-attended, which was a shame, as I've seen better numbers at most other previews there, sometimes for pretty awful films.

We both enjoyed it and were laughing out loud at times - OH especially, which surprised me but was gratifying. I had feared it wouldn't be to his taste but afterwards he praised it so highly that at first I suspected him of sarcasm.

We both liked the married couple (OH said the husband reminded him of Richard Dreyfus - no wonder he looked familiar) and the dancing, despite not having seen Dirty Dancing.

A US remake must be on the cards but could not match this. And in the US, both stars - not that they would feature in any revamp - would surely come under pressure to have their teeth fixed!
