its common knowledge that 99.9999% of THG fandom act as if the 3rd book never existed.
And yet they are making Mockingjay into two separate movies? I'm thinking I'd rather Catching Fire was 2 films instead....or one big huge one! Would save the waiting a year between films.

OH says the third book isn't that big. So can't imagine how they will make two films from it.

And why is Catching Fire not got it's own thread instead of being in the tail end of The Hunger Games thread?

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

I wondered that too. Think it was merged a few weeks ago.
Maybe I heard wrong about Mockingjay then if it is just a pamphlet. Lol.

OH showed me the third book. IT's the same size as the others. Also inform me there isn't enough content for two films.

I recently re-read the books and there's quite a lot which could be done in creation of extra content around characters that are frequently see in the Mockingbird book. Plus I do think it would be a harder book to condense down into one film. Although I've thought that about The Hunger Games & Catching Fire too.

I think i know how theyd separate the last book into two films.
First off, spoiler bits!
the whole district 13 revelation, it wasnt destroyed, and everyone lives in underground bunkers as it was the nuclear weapon district.
Secondly,
The first part of the book is mainly propaganda production, shooting rebel attacks with Katniss at the fore as the Mockingjay, taking part in the rebellion, trying to encourage others to take up the mantle and fight. The climatising to the new district, its people, its purpose and its role in the rebellion as well as propoganda, could easily be the first film. [/apoiler]

Then,
it would be logically to have the actual all out war as the second half of the film.
Shadowhunters: Looking better in black than the widows of our enemies since 1234.
I am, after all, what you made me.

Do agree with this and I'm fairly certain that they'll split the films
just after Peeta is rescued and he has tried to attack Katniss, they'll either split it just here or as she says "send me to District 2".
Could you remind me why? I read it and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about in terms of the fanbase disappointment - I really liked it. Sure, it's not as good as the first one, and certainly not the one that should be split in two in terms of the film adaptations. But I thought it was a really interesting end to the series that underlined the main political themes (as well as Katniss' personal journey) very well, and also had the balls to
kill off or otherwise disregard several main characters
Maybe I am the 0.0001%, but I just can't figure out why that is!
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I'm with you weirdfilms. I thought parts of it were a bit strange, and I'm still pissed about some of the character outcomes, but overall I think it ended how it should have.
